If I could find recommended requirements I could tell you more accurately if it'd run well or not, but I do not find them. >_<

Looking at your system and minimum requirements, you shouldn't have a too big deal running MW2.

Borderlands: Can't say for sure since I don't have the game, but from what the recommended says, you should be able to run it smoothly.
COD4: it depends on the server, but it doesn't require an extremely high end PC to run it at max, my brother had a 8600GT(equivalent to a 9500GT) was able to run it on mostly high and a few medium and received about 50-60FPS on multiplayer with 32 players.
COD:MW2- I'd say about the same as COD4 since it uses the same engine(well should, since it's suppose to be the same as WaW,which uses the COD4 engine).

Also, join the people upset with IW, and boycott the game until they give the PC users what we deserve, which is user custom content and dedicated servers, for being forced to update our PC every time they use a new engine.

Well Modern Warfare 2 will run fine but you will not be able to run on max settings.

The max settings require at least 1 gig of vRAM from your video card. My 8800 gt is a little better than your card and I cannot run it on the extra texture settings only because I have 512 mb of vRAM.

Or that is my guess to why the game stutters like shit when I switch from high textures to extra.

Both modern warfare games run on the same engine I think.

If my heap can almost max out CoD 4 you should be fine.

He will be fine but he won't be able to run it on the highest settings.
