What are the similarities between the two and what characteristics from Rage of Mages are still present?

Rage of mages is an awesome game, sadly never played the second one.

Allods to me is the MMO incarnate of RoM.
while i don't remember much about Rage of Mages, i can say the story follows over(from what i know) into Allods.
so far that's all i can remember from my short time playing allods.

No. Rage of Mages. It's a game released waaay earlier.

Have to say, they're nothing alike in gameplay. Might have a somewhat "similar" theme, but that's it.
