Default Mass Effect -Worth the Buy?-

Well I beat Dragon Age twice, and enjoyed the story line ALOT. I havent really played Bioware games, but the graphics, gameplay and everything was amazing. I always heard about Mass Effect but never had a chance to look at it. According to "Can I play this game" my computer blows away what I need to have to play it. Now the real question is, is it worth to buy? Amazon has it at $15 or I can get it on steam at $20. I missed the sale on steam, but I am looking for a game with good graphics and a great story line and think this could be it. I like the interaction thing but Im just wondering what other people think. If I enjoyed Dragon Age alot, could this game be woth the buy also?

Thanks

Mass Effect was okay.

I didn't really enjoy it as much as I am enjoying Dragon Age at the moment. (I'm at the end, fighting the big battle now)

I do plan on doing something that I was unable to do in Mass Effect, and that is replaying it.

Don't get me wrong, Mass Effect is great. A good time-waster. But I just don't like the Sci-Fi setting. Good game though, if you can get it cheap, do so.

LOL GET IT?

If there is one thing I realized over the past several months; is that life is a very short experience, and it shouldn't be wasted avoiding opportunities, and instead of allowing minuscule things getting you down, you should smile and tip your hat, and accept any outcome, good or bad.

I think it's well worth the buy, it's probably my favourite Bioware game (though I havn't played DA yet) the story is great, the graphics espically the faces are damn good and the combat is entertaining RPG/TPS mix.

It may play better on the console though as it just fits the controller perfectly.

Yep well I decided to buy it. Graphically it isnt as good, BUT story wise I like it alot. Its more cut scened and interactions, which lately I enjoy more then the actual fighting. Its alittle choppy compared to DAO but Ive played almost 4 hours and am addicted. Pretty good for $20.

I don't like Mass Effect as much as KOTOR or DA, but its still fun.

I liked the combat of Mass Effect, as well as the fact that your character actually has dialogue and a name that people call you by (saves the awkward dialogue where NPCs can't call you by your name haha)

The side quests suck, but the main storyline is one of the most well-crafted experiences in RPG history.

If you liked DA:O you'll like Mass Effect, just keep in mind the combat is real time and controlled, not auto attack like DA:O. Also, the setting is Sci-Fi not high fantasy, but I don't know if that's influence in your decision or not.
