still not in gold just yet.. store hasn't opened.
just keep in mind that even if it has gone gold, it won't be 100% balanced. it would take lots of time to balanced the game. taric's stun isn't that great. you won't be able to do the max duration stun or max damage most of the time. plus remember, there's a general rule in LoL that stun/slow/any movement inhibiting skills doesn't do the max duration because of mercury treads ( cut it down by 40% ) Last edited by djudjud; 11-19-2009 at 09:53 PM. |

Between LoL and HoN, LoL wins hands down overall.
HoN is just DotA reskinned in a shiny new engine. They saw no need to really re-invent the wheel, if you will. Their have always been 2 things about DotA that make it nigh inaccessible to newer players 1. A steep learning curve 2. A community that refuses to accept anyone who sucks(i.e. new players) LoL has fixed these things by adding user-friendly tutorials and tips, as well as having a community that welcomes new players and is willing to help them learn the ropes. LoL also has added a ton of new gameplay enhancements that bring the game into the 21st century. Things like match-making, the "Tall grass" in game, they dynamic runes/summoner system, and more. LoL also has the perk of being F2P. Why anyone would buy HoN when they could just go play DotA, which most HoN beta players probably already have, is beyond me. Also, having played the HoN beta, I found that the game had MAJOR balance issues, where as LoL is much more balanced at this point. So, LoL>HoN by a longshot. |

He already has good skills overall, i palyed many games with a hybrid Taric AP/DPS build, which give a good heal/nuke capability and fair auto-attack damage. Also at early/mid lvls, i can rule a lane with no problem even 2vs1, his survivability is the key. late game Taric is a no-threat, i just keep spaming, W & E skills and ulti when gaking. I didn't experiment another build. |

in pubs, you don't really see it being used because pubbers tend to get berserker's greaves that add aspd or sorcerer's shoes that add ability power.
but once you play high level games, most of the time you see 1 boots only being bought by every players and that is mercury treads. seriously, why would you not buy mercury ?? +35 magic resistance and reduce movement inhibiting skill by 40%. |

The whole point of the post is that HoN is DotA and LoL is different. Saying LoL is better when its a different play style is pure opinion, not fact. Like a few people have said already, both games are geared to different styles. Try both, decide for yourselves. Neither sucks, niether can be truley compared to eachother as different games, only thier relation to DoTA. |
