This is my first RP, so bear with me as I try to keep things in line and make this as fun as possible for everybody =] )

Background

This RP is set in a dark ages / medieval-esque time period, well before the invention of gunpowder.

The “Brotherhood” mentioned in the title is basically a guild comprised of friends and business companions who decided to start meeting after their day jobs. Sort of like drinking buddies after work. In it's early stages it was just that, best of friends getting slammed a few times a week and getting in and out of trouble together. After being successfully kicked out of just every tavern and pub in the city they bought their own building in which to conduct their merriment.

Not even Johnny knows exactly how having fun got mixed in with business, but somehow it did. One night Johnny confessed to his companions that he had a problem. Someone had heard of their bar brawling antics, and offered Johnny fifty silver pieces to rough a gang who was giving that person trouble. He split the loot amongst his friends, and they proceeded to start a large midnight street fight, which was promptly ended by the guards.

They soon grew famous for brewing killer liquor in their basement, and dealing nasty hits on whoever had money. The guards decided to put an end to this and ran them out of Inton their home town. Which is how one day Johnny saw a large building with land for growing barley and knew he wanted. He and his closest friends in The Brotherhood put together money and bought the place, which is where they run their business today.

The main guise that The Brotherhood uses to keep the guards at bay is that they are the nation's largest brewery. Johnny's addiction grew dramatically from a few flasks in the basement to massive storehouses and a fairly lucrative export to many places across the nation. It provides an excellent cover-up to have a large delivery to a certain manor, and a nearby noble suddenly loses his life.

After ten years of being in existence, “The Brotherhood” is now a fully blossomed society of men andwomen who live for each other, and work together. They own a fairly large complex on the outskirts of a town called Midar, a sub-urb of the nation’s capital, Inton. (If you’ve played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, think the dark brotherhood’s headquarters, except instead of going underground it has courtyards and smithies that stretch above ground.)

This facility and group of men does everything from make custom weapons in its expansive smithies, to carry out assassinations, or raid rival guild’s buildings. (Their main rivals are the “Derkahn” a group similar to “The Brotherhood.) Members pass in and out from day to day, blending their daily lives with that of the brotherhood.

I have no idea in my head what the plot will be, so if anybody has ideas I’m very open to suggestion.

4. Please one character per person, I’m not trying to be a Nazi but things can start to get confusing.
5. Have fun! When I was crafting this RP my intent was for it to be light hearted =]

Here’s mine if you’re confused

Name: Jonathan “Johnny” Darko

Age: 32

Profession: Was originally a blacksmith, he isn’t very good though so he doesn’t do much smithing anymore. Is somewhat of the resident alcohol expert, started them growing their own crops for which to brew.

Years in The Brotherhood and Position: Been in The Brotherhood ten years, he founded The Brotherhood at twenty-two years old when he had just finished his blacksmithing apprenticeship. Isn’t necessarily the top man per say since he doesn’t like responsibility, but has a say in what is going on since he is the founder.

Physical and personality description of Character: Johnny is fairly tall, about 6’2, but with broad shoulders from his previous career as a blacksmith. Has fair skin (Because nobody ever seems to be tanned in the dark ages lmao) and he wears his jet black hair short at all times, with a square jaw and a thin scar across his cheek from a bar fight in his youth.

Johnny is fairly thoughtful and even soft spoken, until you get a drink into him, instantly a threshold is crossed and he’s the rowdiest man of the bunch. He would be a good leader, but hates responsibility and sometimes wishes that he could take The Brotherhood back to the days where they just sat around in a local bar and absorbed ale like it was their last day. He lets others lead, and offers them advice when they ask it of him.

Weapon of Choice: Carries a massive broadsword across his back, very possibly the only weapon that he has ever smithed that didn’t completely suck and fall apart within a year. It’s actually a very good blade, but if you ask him about it he’ll tell you it’s a piece of crap and he’s surprised it’s lasted more than six months.

Johnny is quite good with fighting with his fists from all his years of bar brawling, but he works on his skills with his sword every opportunity that he can. He is quite a force to be reckoned with, but is often reckless and swings wildly. He'll often be defeated by someone who just out weighs him in terms of finesse.

History in and out of The Brotherhood: Johnny was raised in a family of smiths in Inton (The nation’s capital if you weren’t paying attention) and was almost forced into an apprenticeship of the smith. At age twenty he started hanging out with a few of his buddies from the forge, and The Brotherhood was born two years later. He controlled the activities for a few years before turning it over to more capable leaders.

Profession: Master tracker but also a good swordsman

Years in The Brotherhood and position: 7 Years and Assassin also and adviser for new recruits

Physical and personality description of Character:

Is Quite out-going but usually quite and only talks if it's important but talks to much if he drinks

Weapons of choice: A longsword for a close combat and a bow for assassinations and picking off targets at a distance

History in and out of the The Brotherhood: Joined the Brotherhood when he was only 14 for his expertise at killing with a bow at unnaturally long ranges against wild game he was told of a quick way to make money it was unsavory but the money he pocketed changed his mind about killing people. He really didn't like the leader of the Brotherhood in the begging but he was quite fun when he was drunk and they became good associates and it helped them both he had a good assassin and I get more missions and more money in my pocket.

Profession: Soldier/Archer
Years in The Brotherhood and position:He has been in the brother hood since it was created and after a period of disconcent has been training new arrivals that wish to become soldiers in the brotherhood
Physical description of Character: he has a intimidating face that is often covered by a grin.He wears a vest to protect from arrows and pants that are made for running
personality: He is very happy to be back in action and always has agrin on his face due to this but when he takes a comanding role he becomes very hardy and serious often yelling to make his point people find it hard not to be intimidated by him.
Weapons of choice: Has two small swords that he keeps at his side but his main weapon is his bow and arrow that almost never leaves his back for any other reason then battle
History in and out of the The Brotherhood: Often went to fight in small wars and has become pretty load and booming like a drill seargent.He was thrown out of the army for disobeying orders and drowned his sorrows in booze with his freinds becoming part of the brotherhood when it was created.He now often trains new soldiers or leads small squads on attack misions.

Profession: Ambassador..Or the official term is Whore.
Years in The Brotherhood and position: 3 years and counting of serving and is currently a Ambassador, but really he is a Male Whore.
Physical and personality description of Character:
Is kind and caring, very open about his feelings, also is attracted to both men and wemon. Making him a very good...persuader.
Weapons of choice: Kagame. Is a long slender and sharp blade with ancient carvings on it. It is named after his whore of a mother but he respects it valuable as his mother protected him alot.
History in and out of the The Brotherhood: He joined when he was 19 and started out just a simple pleasure tool for...Entertainment. When his mother died 3 months after he joined he actually left for 8 months and then came back with a sword and stayed for 2 years and four months. Over the years he has improved his skills and well...is now very Persuasive.

Name: Jacob Moreson Jr. or JJ
Age: 19
Profession: Archer and Longswordsman
Years in The Brotherhood and position: 17 years he has been in the brother hood and he is an assasin, solo or small group archer, and apprentice blacksmith
Physical and personality description of Character: JJ is sometimes nice and carring but the rest of the time he is headstrong, wreckless and often acts befor he thinks, but the second he obtains a mission he is quite serious and consintrated.
Wears long baggy black pants and black boots, and a white undershirt, untill he heads out for a mission, then he puts on special armor he created over his chest aswell as a long sleeve black shirt.
Weapons of choice: Longsword His bow is some what small but very hard to pull back for any one who isent him, he made the bow himself upgrading it a little so if he wanted he could ignite the arrows in either fire, or poison.
History in and out of the The Brotherhood: JJ was born into the brother hood and raises as the son of a black smith, learing to make custom bows and armor aswell as swords and other weapons, he took an interest in both blacksmithing and sword play at an early age, but from the day he picked up a bow he was a prodegy(spelling?) he was as good as most of the assasins when he was only 5, but he decided to stay the apprentice of a smithe, when he was 17 he left the guild with his mother who was leaving their father, after Hearing rumors of him being gay (thought i would throw a twist in there). he is about to return(when the rp starts lol) on account of his mother died a few days ago, he has practiced his skills greatly over the two years he was away, he just hoped they remembered him, he had changed alot in that short time.

Profession: An ex-guard/soldier for the imperial army
Years in The Brotherhood and position: He's been in the Brotherhood for about 8 years now after quitting his job as a guard. Soldier/Quartermaster

Physical and personality description of Character:
Jack is normally a happy person and is even happier when drunk, but when something bad happens he develops a moody persona.


Weapons of choice: Longsword/Claymore

History in and out of the The Brotherhood He was born in a close by village
and grew up training as a guard, then when it came to being a guard he did it for three years, then joined the imperial army for five years. After taking a large cut across the face he quit his job, and now always wears armor and a mask to cover his injury.

Age:25
Profession: Fighter and herbalist.
Years in The Brotherhood and position: Chris has been in the Brotherhood for not even a year, he is a quiet new recruit, and he havn't got any real position in the brotherhood yet.
Physical and personality description of Character: Chris is usually very calm, but he has a unsustained lust fro blood. He loves to kill things. Prefers to work by himself. He never takes his mask/helmet off. Always carries his weapons with him.

Weapons of choice: ( As in pic ) Two scythes, that's attached to him with chains, so he can throw them around and control them well, and two short blades on his back.
History in and out of the The Brotherhood: Chris was raised with his father, who was a fighter, a full blooded figher. He taught him everything he could, and raised him to be a fighter. He joined the "Hood" recently, when he got tired of having nothing to do.

Profession: Doctor/Physician/Surgeon

Years in Brotherhood and position: Gemma has been in the Brotherhood since it was foundedand serves as their (unofficial) permanent doctor.

Physical and personality description of character: Very friendly with a great bedside manner. Well liked by others, confident in her abilities. Hates her job and usually gets amazingly depressed when she can't save someone. Usually very lighthearted.


Weapons of choice: Hates fighting but when she has to, Gemma uses two long daggers and a small crossbow.

History in and out of the Brotherhood: Gemma has known Johnny for most of their lives, she was one of the original Brotherhood members. She currently owns a building that she uses as a doctor's establishment.

(If you don't mind, Nathan's Revenge, I'd like our characters to have had a relationship in the past. Let me know if not ok.)

Name: Alphonso (Second name unkown)

Age: Believed to be 20-ish

Profession: Now a professional lockpick for the Brotherhood.

Years in Brotherhood and position: Recently allowed into the Brotherhood by Jak Black after being sent on a test mission to assasinate 3 people with a fellow reccruit. Succesfully picking every lock and killing 2 of them, he was allowed in. His amazing spreed, skills with a sword and most of all lockpicking skills, have lent to him being sent on very high ranked jobs.

Physical and personality description of character: He is usually very cheery but can become serious quickly. He never smiles while taking a life and when picking a lock or setting a trap etc. it is like he is in a different world. He wears mainly black to hide him in the shadows. His sword is called The Bresinger and although it looks extremely heavy (which it is) it can cut through a wall with a simple sweep. He hides his past with his smile.

History: He was supposedly a soilder in the army but no-one is sure after he was shot in the head by an arrow and was presumed dead. Many years later he was found alive in an alleyway by an inn-keeper who shortly died afterwards. He didnt discover his skill until he was locked outside his room and as a joke tried to pick the lock, he successfully picked the lock and soom became addicted. He calls it his illness. He tries not to get close to people because they always seem to be hurt (killed) when he is sleeping. Suspicious? Oh yes.
