So, if I want to buy one of those Arcade point card things...how does it work? I want to buy Banjo Kazooie, but I'm not quite sure how it works.
Is it just like the Wii shop channel? Does it just put the stuff on my harddrive, like, with my demos? Oh, and do I have to have Gold to use the card? Going xmas shopping for myself today (lol. that sounds terrible. I'm going because my grandma can't get around anymore. She gave me money to go, and wants the stuff I buy) so I could use a quick answer. Thanks guys! <3 Also - feel free to post some arcade game recommendations...how many you guys think I could get with one of those $20 cards? |

It all depends.
Some games cost 800 points, give or take. Some cost 1,200 or so. I'm pretty sure you can use Marketplace without a Gold account. I wouldn't know, I have a Gold account. Basically, you buy a card, type in the redeemable code and it just adds the points. Then you go download whatever you wish. |

You can also add a payment plan via the marketplace when you try to buy one. Though, their points system is pretty..stupid. 2000 points costs $25, and most games run at 1200. WHY 1200? Why not just 1000? Seriously. Then they have the 800 point games, and some lesser games run at 400 (like Uno). If you buy the stupid little avater things, they have ridiculous costs as well. 120, 260, etc. Once again, their system makes no sense other than to make you have leftover points of which you can't spend anything, and seeing them there will want you to get more just to get rid of them because everyone has OCD, even if its for minimal out of the way things
![]() There was one game you could buy that came packaged with like 9 arcade games and 21 classics or something for 20 bucks I believe, should check into that. Save every bit of money you can when it comes to microsoft (platinum hits used to go for $20.. they now go for $30... ripoff. Don't want to pay 30 for a game that came out 3-4 years ago and is outdated). Ah well. |

Silver accounts give access to marketplace, which allows you to buy DLC, get demos for new games.
Gold accounts allow you to play online with other Gold account holders. So yes, you should be able to buy whatever game you want as long as you have sufficient points. Silver accounts are free, btw. |

Thanks guys
I just ended up buying L4D instead lols. But I'm gonna get one of these cards someday, so your info is still useful ![]() I had Gold, but it reverted to Silver 'cause it expired. IDK, I wanna be good before I bother going online...I'm still adapting to the damn controller lol. As a side note...do you guys play with your "look" inverted? I can't play with it normal. |

What sucks are some older games where the aiming is invert and there isn't an option to change it. ><
