The former doesn't happen because I know what I like and I know what to buy. If I take a gamble, that's my own issue. Even so, with MySpace, iTunes, Spotify etc; there's no excuse to illegally download something to preview it.

it's wrong but so convenient, why wait months for a dvd release when I can get an r5 or a leaked version at the same time it's released in cinema or shortly after, but at the same time I've bought many TV series lately Stargate season 1 to 10, The Office 1 to 3, Scrubs 1 to 8, Red Dwarf and a number of others because the cost of them (on sale) is reasonable.

in soviet Russia original buy-able discs are bad, and illegal, but piracy is good and legal./

yeah the question was indeed aimed at myself it's kind of why I asked the question after saying it's wrong.... more then happy to admit it's wrong but my care factor on that is zero
