On my desktop i have both a weather and RSS "widget" which just wont load up the data so i can use it.

I've checked my firewall and Rainmeter is set on allow, any help is appreciated

Sometimes the configuration isn't right causing it being unable to load the data.

Check if the websites it connects to actually load in your webbrowser.

Both the weather and Gizmodo work perfectly on my browser.

if you're using hud vision weather you gotta got to edit the script of that
