If you're ready to kill, be ready to be killed. If you''ve got the motive to take an innocent life, then be ready to righteously have yours snatched up away from you. They aren't being punished, they're basically getting counseled. The world isn't fair, those 2 did NOT get justice, and the victims parents got screwed over, unless they have to heart to forgive.

ya i would be mad, but is making them sit in a cell help in ANY WAY? No, all it does is make you bitter. Id rather them get help to figure out why they killed a person and fix that. if theres nothing to be done, then yes, they do need to be in a jail cell.

All because of a stupid teenage drama. Wait, I'll post a picture of the girl in the main post so that you can see what she looked like, she was a really pretty girl, I bet the girlfriend was just jealous. |

The fact is, they know why they killed her, and they do too. They're not just sitting in a cell, it's basically gonna be harder for them to live the way they want to, find a job, etc.
If the kids from the Charles Manson cases got the same sentence, I guarentee you it wouldn't make a difference if they were released 20 months later.

BUT... I think that these kids should get the same sentence as an adult would, cause it's still a murder, they killed a person. And an adult would definitely get a worse sentence than this, right? I don't see why they would get a "better" sentence than an adult, only because they happen to be 16. Last edited by Zymbaline; 11-22-2009 at 01:19 AM. |

Yes they should they weren't mentally ill, they killed her for being with the wrong guy, thought about it and planned about how they were going to kill her. If they have the though process of planning it, what could is an institution going to do as well if they arent ill-in-the-head, it's just more wasted time and money and they get to walk out unpunished.
I don't see why they would get a "better" sentence too, but what they did was a crime, if you're helping a criminal "trying to get better" they're not being punished for being wrong. Either way they're not the ones who'll feel the pain of being killed, they're alive and breathing Sitting in prison with the fear of being killed by your inmates and some right's being taken away for such a crime would have more of an effect for these two girls.
