A 9800 GTX is basically same as a GTS 250.
If your going for either series get this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150357 XFX GTS 250. |

The 9800 GTX+ is better.
edit: Oops I was thinking it said the 240. Never mind the 250 is actually just a rebadged 9800gtx+. SO they are around the same performance. Last edited by IronyTaken; 11-23-2009 at 03:11 AM. Reason: -=Doublepost=- |

How about I end this now? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150448 DX11, 1GB, a little more than the others($), quality brand, less power consumption, and best of all, it's powerful-er.

If I were you, I'd say up the extra $44, you'll be glad you did. I bought an outdated quad(Q6600) instead of saving about $50 for a newer quad that offers similar performance, but consumes less power and overclocks fairly well.

im okay with the 44$ as i plan to update it when the price of a gtx 260 drops but sakumo between these two things http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa...20ex_revc.html and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-052-_-Product
which would keep an i5 cool at 3.5-4.0 ghz and is cheaper? like i don't need it to drop that low in temperature just cool enough for it to be stable ------------- wait how much better would the graphics cards compare? |

The GTX260 will CURRENTLY give more performance, but as the drivers mature, the 5750 will perform better.
You should get this instead(NEWEGG IS ONLY A REFERENCE FOR THIS): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835181010 If you live by a Fry's or Bestbuy, go there now and buy that. Basically rivals the TRUE but for less if you can get it on sale. Currently ~$50 last time I checked at the two retailers I mentioned.
