well i was trying to figure out how to connect a ps2/xbox/gcube/wii/ps3/xbox360/etc to a computer monitor while also been able to switch back to my pc at will when i came across switch boxes. however im still confused...
Can switch boxes let me connect both my computer and ps2 to one monitor and also let me switch between the two at will? (like i don't want them both on the same screen its either one or the other but i don't have to reconnect the wires everytime i want to play ps2 or use word on windows) |

Yes, but as far as I'm aware of, you need 2 ports, one DVI-D and one VGA. With the computer connected to the DVI-D, you can connect consoles to the VGA.

it can only be a dvi-d and vga cause i read that some computers use vga ports O.o and isn't it rca for ps2?
----- wait i can just get an rca to dvi adapter for my ps2 and get a dvi switch box then can't i?

Isn't RCA just a company that makes electronics? Or are you talking about the adapter, because that's just for sound.
Edit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-047-_-Product That's a monitor that gives you both VGA and TV output.

I like my solution better. You get a 26" monitor.
