I'd totally buy a DS Lite, just so I could save the extra money to get other things I'd enjoy as well.

The DS Lite prolly does everything you want it to do, so why not save the extra money and get yourself something else.

unless you break the DS,(which even if you do it's not all too worth it)

Get a DSi. Camera + Apps + Internet + more stuff coming along with the App Store feature + games coming out that are DSi ONRY. personally the DS is just if you want the GBA games, or are too cheap to buy the DSi. In which case when the DSi gets broken itll probably have an installable Emulator.

If you guys are talking about running homebrew on a DSi, theres already flash carts out for it.

Acekard 2i is the cheapest, best one AFAIK.
