Default Games keep freezing

I can run games just fine usually.

Yet, once in a while, the screen will freeze for a few second, then unfreeze, with all the screen scrambled and weird. If I alt-tab out and alt-tab back in, everything is fine again, until it decides to freeze again.

Anyone knows what to make of it? Thanks.

I'm running a laptop/GeForce 9500m GS, if that's any help.

It's not overheating. I would get this on Starcraft/Warcraft III as well, and the GPU temperature never goes above 60C

This happened to be as well, i changed gfxs card it it didn't appear that often but it still happens...i'm suspecting both my gfxs card and ram are damaged.
And also this appears to happen only with games that has AA and other very graphical stuff...borderlands didn't have AA so i was fine on that. Risen was a game that stuffed up alot :/

I also took some videos when the game stuffed up like that (only on dnf thou :/)

edit: forgot to take ss when it happened again like 2 hours ago, when I was playing sherlock homes vs jack the ripper the textures of NPC faces became floor tiles of the game lol...

I also read that it could be caused from insufficient RAM or inefficient video card drivers.

use 186.18 driver.. new drivers are buggy as hell.. and doesn't work fine on some old games (battlefield 2 i only get 2-10fps when i use 19x drivers) ~_~

also Desktop PC are made for 24/7 usage (coz i only turn off my pc once every 8 days or so) so overheating wont be a problem unless your pc only have 1 fan o.o

No big. I know the problem is probably with the driver. I tweaked way too many stuff to get maximum performance out of the system for my own good.

Still thankful for whatever response/resolution that's offered.
