I have this PC for about 5-6 years, and since the holiday is coming around the corner, I thought I should treat myself a little bit to make my PC perform a bit better. Hmm..My max max budget is around 550, if I could go less, that is always a plus, who doesn't want to save a bit green for themselves.
I'm not into running everything on max, since I have been running some of the games I played on low for quite some time now, so as long as the game run smooth, it's fine with me. A little bit above the minimum or average setting for modern game should be okay with my budget right? Anyway, Here is my spec from CPU-z, I saw this software on another thread, so if there are any information you need, I'll try to find it. And thanks for helping to those who replied to this thread ![]() Hope for some great feedback and thanks once again Last edited by hitenkenryu; 11-29-2009 at 10:42 PM. |

If you have 550, I would just get a new computer.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883113115 This one is pretty slick for the price with 8GB of RAM. Some other options http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883108209 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883227181 |

Motherboard from the OP.
Not worth upgrading that anymore, as it doesn't offer PCIe x16. The socket is also outdated.

You are going to need to build a new computer. Your motherboard is too old for newer upgrades.
I could give you a list of supplies in what you will need in your build but I am sure anyone else can too. To save money you could reuse some of the parts of your computer that you have now. If someone doesn't offer advice I might check back and offer my own later. |

Are you going to buy or build a new PC? Upgrading is not a reasonable option for your current computer.
