Uhm "CORRECTION", Those RÖ Sprites you're referring to are the Characters/Monsters/NPC/Equipments, the Environment itself is 3D.
That Game is out for many years, and I think you didn't even recognized the "
2D In 3D Concept" that Gravity made.
