Default Opening setup files

Hi, I'm using windows vista and whenever I open setup files (specifically game installers), it takes a long time to open (about 20 minutes or so). It will hang for a while then the asking for permission begins after 20 mins.

Can anyone help me with this? Why is it like that? Also, what can I do >

If anyone would like me to build a rig, I'd prefer it to be in a thread in the tech section rather than PM. Thank you.

What happens is that Windows scans all the files packed in the installer and associated with it, to determine the behaviour of the program, before installing.

I agree that it takes way to long assumably within a time that is comparable to the actual installprocess.

It is essential for UAC to work. It enhances your security. You can disable UAC completely. That doesnt enhance your security.
