I spent the night at a friend's house for new years last night. now this friend plays with an MLG player on halo, and the MLG guy is pretty good.

so we all started a game, the first thing they did was change the map to guardian (we played this map the remainder of the night and when i asked to change the map they said "that map is for noobs"), and take off everything on the map but a battle rifle to start with and the grenades,

now im not a great halo player or whatever but i think i do alright, so these guys were running all over the place and jumping on me from the ****ing trees and shit and after i died about 5 times I heard my friend (sitting right next to me) saying into his mic "yeah he's pretty retarded" and "yeah what a noob".

so the only thing i could find to kill anyone with was a plasma grenade. very first time i stuck my friend and killed him (now at 1 kill 23 deaths) he throws down his controller and yells "BULLSHIT STICKIES ARE SO NOOB" when i hadn't said anything so far about being killed 23 times.

so they stop the game right there, turn off grenades, and go back into the game.

for the following 3 hours they both called me a noob and killed me over and over again, it got to the point where i was just laughing at the whole thing.


and it's not just halo, in MW2, if you use a shotgun, your a noob, if you knife, your a noob, if you use an assault rifle, your a noob, pretty much anything besides a sniper, your a noob

is SF4, if you use anyone besides ryu or ken your a noob, and its an unforgivable sin to even scroll over sagat.



this whole thing made me want to stop gaming entirely, why the hell do people get so angry and butthurt when things don't go their way?

A side note: I thought being noob in MW2 was resorting to "riot shield + charging."

The 3 worst communities I've seen in retail fps games are Halo, MW and L4D series so this stuff doesn't surprise me but when friends start acting that way screw that. I'd be looking for some real friends who play for fun and who are not douche bag elitist.

I've recently been playing, "Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift." There is so much ridiculous meta-gaming it's ridiculous. This game doesn't even support wifi battles. Yet people are so judgmental on unit growth/job choice. It's ridiculous.

Shotties on MW2 are suprisingly hard to use. I don't see what they're talking about. The range on a shotgun is like 4 feet. You've gotta be either very covert or rather deadly with your pistol.
