Default computer color problem

okay, first i thought it was my monitor or windows 7 doing something, but now i dont know.. i just installed XP SP3 instead so i could use photoshop once again, but, the problem persist >.< when i use colors, they turn out like this

this is what happens when i use any size of brush. the picture is taken with a 100 pixel brush.

im pissed now that i cant do my work ... there must be something to fix this, i have tried to play around in the RGB settings in photoshop but with no luck

Does this happen only with photoshop?

If so, redownload photoshop and reinstall it.

i have searched a lot on the internet for this problem, i found a picture of something that looked the same but the webpage seems to be gone.
i just tried GIMP too, im not sure, but i think it works with it, but still, i cant use it due that photoshop has what i need...

Install the latest drivers. If you have the latest, roll back to an older version.

on W7, i had the latest drivers, now i have the drivers on the disks. before i installed W7 i had no problems, i had the exact same drivers i use now. so something from the installation on W7 changed something.

W7 drivers are different than those of XP and Vista. Different core architecture if you are wondering why.

I'm running out of options here though.

To be honest, you are experiencing an artifact as you have noticed. The issue here is I can't see a plausible source for the GPU damage causing the artifact.

The only things I can say to help you is to try another monitor, download HWMonitor and screenshot it while PC is idle and under load and while you are under load, take the most graphic intensive game you play on a regular basis and check for graphic anamaloties.

i have made several tests with HW monitor, and i can say its not heating or dusts causing this. not sure if its the monitor either due that then you guys wouldnt be able to see the problem, i guess. the only thing i can think of is that the graphics card has some sort of a glitch, but then most of other graphics using programs would be affected, now its ONLY photoshop that has this, now that GIMP did not get affected when i used a big brush. Either its the RGB settings, that i have tried many different settings off, or just that my computer is going to hell.....

Sounds like a driver issue to me tbh.

Go to DIAG

switch to the display tab.

screen-shot

Your drivers are almost a year old... download the latest?
