i've encountered this maaaaanyyyy times before..

could be a number of things, the plug, the jack, the cords, the battery, your motherboard. a couple of times i've encountered someone that somehow screwed up the pins of the jack, which meant there's no way to fix that than to replace the motherboard..

like everyone else's said, this sounds like it's your battery.

I think I will try to find a friend with similar laptop or head to a retail store to see if they will provide a cord/battery for me to test. I think this should be the only way I can be sure.

With/without the battery my computer will shutdown. I will post back if anything different shows up.
