Well randomly my computer just flat out shut itself down and the power light blinks amber. That means i'm getting power to the PC but there might be an internal power problem.
After It happens I turn my PC back on and it does it again 5-10 minutes later. Most of the time I can leave it running applications all day without any problems. It's never really hot at all, but I have moved it into a more ventalated area but thats not helping the situation. 375W power source, so with extra RAM would I need to upgrade this too? (I'm so broke. Need money for a motherboard on another computer too.) |

It's hardware damage or your pc would reboot. Possibly heath damage prevention from the BIOS, hit 70/80/90° C and it autoreboots.
Do check the temperatures though: linky to app. I didn't suspect my laptop GPU to be +-70° C idle and it doesn't feel that hot, so it's best to get it checked either way. Also check eventviewer (run -> eventvwr) in the system tab for any major hardware error that could possibly harm your PC. Sort it so you see the errors first. Makes it easier to navigate as it'll be flooded with error reports etc. Another thing you could do is check if everything in your PC are pushed in properly.

GPU = 64C.
I had recently updated my BIOS to Revision A03 (from A01). 10 counts of a Critical error "Kernel-Power" The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. event ID (41) Within a period of 10 days. ------------------------------------------- Also, I tried installing Oblivion, it failed half way through, it wouldn't run or uninstall. If I tried to uninstall I'd get 2 errors messages pop up... I can't finish or restart the installation now. |

Jackpot, because we have a clue what is causing the error. Lose, because I need to read the .dmp file and I'm unable of that yet. (I don't know what to look for) Lose twice actually as there are couple of solutions for this error. :/ Update your drivers perhaps?

Well... I'll see if i can recreate a crash like this because my computers working now. EDIT: FOUND CAUSE & SOLUTION Sound card: Audigy Sound Blaster 2ZS I plugged my headphones back in and had them playing in a 5.1 Suround mode... That's fine but they are quieter in that mode. So I switched it to the headphones setting and it immediately crashed. (changed it in the middle of the audio playing real loud but that doesn't usually make a difference.) When it booted up I switched it back to my 5.1 system and it's all good. I'll +rep whenever I can do it again. EDIT 2: If the headphones are plugged in with the volume at 80% + computer shuts down.
