Could i get banned for admitting that my friend gave me his 80 mage?

I keep saying i leveled it myself but its so obvious that i didnt.

If the account is not registered in your name, it is considered account selling/trading and can get banned. It is highly unlikely to though. Still, I wouldn't take the risk.

you cannot get bann from that just say it your and if someone say something just /ignore them.

The account is registered on my name now i think. It wasnt merged to battle.net yet so i made a battle.net account with my name and merged the wow account to it.

Either way i will just keep denying that i didnt level it myself just to be safe.

if u did that then there is no reason to ban you

If the original worldofwarcraft.com name is not the same, and they check for whatever reason, it's bannable. If you can get the CD keys from your friend, and the secret question/answer, then you can call Customer Support and change it.

If you're that worried about it, that's probably your best bet.

what! they told me a while back that you cant change name even with all that proof, did they change that now?

Since battle.net accounts I don't believe you can.
