So i was just curious if you guys could give me some advice, maybe some links if possible. All i want is a nice and fast computer where i can watch movies and play games in high quality. Also one where i can do my homeworks. I got around 1300 USD to spend, if its not enough then tell me :b |

based on what you have~1300$ it should be plenty and if you already have a hard drive monitor keyboard mouse and audio thats available its going to be kickass as a system

![]() The main difference in performance is that I gave you an OS to run with, a weaker CPU in video encoding, photoshopping, etc. but not gaming, in some places, this actually beats the on that GraveX choose. Graphics card is about 20% BETTER. CPU cooling is basically a mini watercooling set up, but you don't have to do maintenance, from what people say, it's quiet as hell. Also, I didn't include a DVD drive, cause I assume you can salvage it from your current PC.

Not always.
Too much RAM can decrease perfomance (up to 15% iirc).

Since he's busy, I'll put this in layman's term, since I'm gonna start my project after my shower, which is after this. Basically, it follows the same rules as CPU's. Higher memory size(suppose you can say it's cache for CPU) and higher clock speed(ghz for CPU, currently mhz for RAM(currently)) equals better RAM. I won't go too far in depth with an example because it gets confusing if you learn it all at once. So, with that said, 800mhz is obviously slow than 1600mhz. But there's the DDR2 and DDR3 difference, which is basically just generations for RAM. Like in humans, the newer generation suppose the older generation in X thing, but for RAM, the # after "DDR" means the different generation, the higher it is the better.
If you want to add latency in the mix, just post a reply.
