Default Good Deal?

Hey guys, I'm back with more PC-buying/building questions.

I was searching TigerDirect for prebuilt PC's, if nothing else out of boredom. I came across this, and I had a few questions about it:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...263&CatId=4928

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal for $540? It seems so to me, but I am a novice at that sort of thing.

The things that stood out to me:

- The 4 gigs of RAM
- The video card
- The OS (windows 7 home) that comes with it

The only things that I question are the mobo and the CPU. Are they any good? For this price, are they worth it?

Overall, is this a good deal? Or would I be better off buying it all seperate and putting it together myself?

If you can I would build it your self. You can get better parts for the money.

CPU is rather old (newer dualcore model though).
GPU is low end.

AM3 socket mobo, which is good, it doesn't support DDR3 RAM, which is bad for futureproofing. (there are hybrid DDR2 and 3 mobos, like mine, but the DDR3 support is weak and you cannot mix DDR2 with DDR3)

I'd skip on this one.

If anyone would like me to build a rig, I'd prefer it to be in a thread in the tech section rather than PM. Thank you.

It's not a good deal, I built a better computer for around $620 including monitor and OS. Minus about $130(for the monitor) and it comes out $510.
