Default Internet browsers timing out?

So I'm hooked up to my modem via ethernet cable and occasionally while surfing I'll just get my connection timing out for a while. While this happened, I checked by pinging websites in cmd and there was no problem at all, so apparently my internet should be fine. Also I don't get spiked or anything when gaming online. Anyone know what the problem could be?

No?

When I used to have an ethernet cable, I got random time out's too. I normally resolved this by unplugging and replugging my modem and I didn't get it anymore after that.

Please, Raiyne, add your Browser+Version and your OS.

However, reinstal the browser, or date it up and try a diffrent browser too.

Of course, my bad.

Firefox 3.5.7
Windows XP

Happens on Internet Explorer too though, so Firefox doesn't seem to be the only one with the problem, at least.

I'm having a similar issue when my PC is on for about 14 or more days straight, which is gone when I reboot. :/

That's odd; any other computers in the household have that problem to be 100% sure it's not your connection. If it's not that it could be firewall settings.
