Something New Music Wise (Help)
Disclaimer: I understand that, literally, the thread below me discusses rock music. However, his topic covers material that I am not all that interested in; if I wanted mainstream crap I'd go there.
As I have drained my current music pool, I am in dire need of new ideas and suggestions. However, having already listened to the radio recently, I am tired of being bombarded with the same song with different lyrics sung by every mainstream band. I am challenging you, the members of this board, to rack your brains for decent music. Doesn't necessarily have to be underground, but it needs to not be so mainstream as to smack me in the face every time I listen to it. The following genres are open: Rock (Every kind, I am encompassing everything from Alternative to Black Metal), Hip-Hop (Obviously nothing like Kanye West), Rap (NOT Gangsta rap, please choose something a little bit deeper), and Jazz. Thanks in advance, I await your replies.

Great suggestion's guys, for the most part liked em all. Is it just me Xeno, or does Fleet Foxes resemble the Shins at all?

The majority of OnRPG knows hundreds if not thousands of different bands and artists that fit those requirements...
I'll give some random ones, I guess.
There's so much good music out there man, you just need to dig a little bit.

Doesn't matter anyways, they've earned a slot in list of bands worth listening to.
Yeah Skald, I understand that I am missing out on so many bands, known and underground. Most of the time, when I feel like searching, I don't know where to begin... and then I get burned out  . However, I do appreciate all the suggestions I'm getting though, tbh I haven't listened to many of these bands.Just a sidebar, you don't necessarily have to give me song titles much less youtube videos  . I am more than able to research any band names that you give me.
