The British Prime Minister's (Hugh Grant) voice-over credits prologue, delivered with views of the arrivals terminal at London's Heathrow Airport where people are greeting each other, hugging and kissing: ("Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.")
Maybe this will help? |

Can't you think up of somthing yourself? Feh. *Goes into writing gear." "Love, they say, is fleeting. I disagree. Though, what is love? Some say it's physical, a chemical reaction. Some don't bother with it, that's it's a waste of time. That it's not real. I, on the other hand, think that love is somthing special - somthing refraining us from being consumed by our own greed. Not just a couple's love, but family love, friendly love, it's what makes us decent, as human beings. It's what makes us whole. Then again, what am I supposed to know. According to scientists - well, prettymuch everywhere, I'm just a mesh of blood, bones, organs and genetics. Though, I think that - if everyone looks deep enough, they'll see the love their capable of, and that people - human beings - simple strands of DNA on the evolutionary river, are so much more." There, I wrote a speech about love. Just for you. Happy? |
