I remember when Maplestory had 4 Classes, yeah just four now, It was big news when Pirates were coming out, then useless Cygnus knight then the Aran, its like "another class"?

Don't get me wrong though, yeah people like new classes.

I think Knights and the 5 heroes have different storylines. I'm out of the Maple scene for sometime now, u're better off asking in the source i linked above.

There's the five Adventurers (Warriors, Archers, Magicians, Thieves, and Pirates), their five Cygnus counterparts, five Legendary (Aran, etc.) counterparts, and I'm pretty sure Evan are just a completely different thing.

Evan is not the real legendary, the real legend died, and a kid (Evan) picked up the dragon egg and hatched it. He's like the original legend's unofficial disciple.

I wouldn't consider the cygnus classes full classes though. They have a lower level cap so yea. From lv 1-120, they pwn, after that, all the other classes dominate the cygnus ones.
