Ultima online is the best mmorpg. 12 years of updates should be proof enough to say no game has more to it.Though the first ultima was made in the 80's so i guess you could say its been updating for over 20 years.
But your wanting something with graphics. Chronicle of spellborn so far seems to have the best 3d combat system for free mmorpg's. you have to dodge yourself and when you land a hit it lands there is no miss unless you miss yourself.kinda like midevil 3rd person shooter mmorpg.
unless you realy like scifi and deap space eve is gonna suck for the most part.and the pvp system isnt the best little bit dumbed down version of ultima's.
Runes of magic is just your cliche 3d wasd mmorpg.
Turf battles is pretty fun mmorpg its wasd rules with jump but very fluent movement probly the best movement you can get in a 3d mmorpg. The combat system is much better then most 3d mmorpgs since you are moving constantly while attacking.
ROW basicaly a remake of ryl its pretty fun requires a good comp for the massive battles that can take place on it.
continent of the ninth isnt realy the best mmorpg out if your counting all mmorpg including no english. just a pretty good combat system though i never realy like juggling combat.
in few more months probly be some new better ones out.
Dungeon and dragons online good combat system but you can still miss even if you hit like most 3d mmorpg's.

yea top end graphics havent been implemented into a mmorpg yet.later this year looks like there will be few with almost top end graphics.

RoM is an excellent f2p choice for PVE but costly for PVP.

If you like PVP but don't have money to spend you can still play but except to lose often.

Unfortunately for all f2p games it is pay to win. If you want great and fair PVP you need to go with p2p games like WoW.

If Guild Wars 2 isn't scheduled to be released probably later this year Guild War may be a great and relatively cheap PVP game. You only play for the box and have a life time free subscription so essentially if you play it for like 2 years it is only like $2 a month. I am waiting for GW2 though.
