Football very much IS popular in the States, Paladuck.

Most big football clubs now have a website that specifically caters to American fans now. The reason you don't hear a lot about it is because the league over there - Major League Soccer - doesn't have anywhere near the screen time demand that baseball or American football does. I don't even know how often games are played because Major League Soccer sucks and I can't watch the games with a straight face.

If it was as heavily promoted and televised as it is over here, you'd probably know a lot more about it. In fact, you're probably going to soon. More and more American players are being bought by or loaned TO English and other European clubs.

For example, Landon Donovan plays for Everton now and Jozy Altidore plays for Hull City. As football stars become bigger and bigger over there, the American press will cover them and their sport more, and thus it'll become more popular.

I'm glad, the more teams in the World Cup that AREN'T shit, the better. America has a terrifyingly shit domestic league, but their national team has beaten Spain. Spain are widely considered to be the best team in the world right now, so there you go.

Why say what?

That I think it was the best half time performance of all time? Because I do.
