Default The Triune

2075. The year the last war mankind started against itself ended. However it ended not with a peaceful agreement, But with the destruction of civilization as we know it. Few survived the sudden barrage of experimental nuclear weapons. Even fewer pieces of technology made it through working. However in the midst of all this destruction something was unearthed. The experimental arms gave off a new kind of radiation unknown to man before now. This radiation has given people tremendous powers of superhuman or supernatural ability.

2076. People have just gotten used to their new life on this planet. guilds who specialize in certain techniques start to appear. Some guilds focus on combat while others focus on more peaceful activities such as fishing or the new attempts at farming.The only region that has enough people to start expanding and repopulating is a small spot in north america on the former border of U.S. and canada. There are two major colonies on either side of the border who contact each other by crossing a river by boat. However both colonies begin to notice a change in the outside world. Creatures begin to appear in the wilderness. Things that just shouldn't exist begin to attack small settlements or individual camps. The colonies have begun hiring mercenaries to find the source of these creatures.

Setting: Post apocalyptic world where magic has just resurfaced on the earth. There are two main colonies that have been getting along well with each other. The northern colony ( nitherlud ) and the southern colony ( New Hope ) are the trading centers of the region and they contain headquarters and training centers for the guilds. Most of the land around these colonies has been turned to sand and dust. There are a few ruins of old cities near these colonies but not much has been found in them. There are a few small settlements outside of the colonies, but they work more as rest stops than as actual towns.

Magic: Caused by the recent discharge of experimental weaponry. Magic has just recently appeared. It has kept people alive and brought about new professions.

Magic comes in two forms: exerted and infused. Exerted Magic is cast outside of the body. It can be used to conjure fire, move water, create colorful visions, and more. Infused Magic is any magic that stays in the body. This can be used to increase the speed and strength of someone or heal their body.

Guilds: There are many guilds but there are three that make up the triune.
The guild of swordsmen, the guild of gunslingers, and the guild of the magicians.

The swordsmen guild is a guild that teaches fighting techniques with swords. They also teach members how to use some exerted and infused magics. They're well known for their strength and their ability to appear to be everywhere and no where at once.

The gunslingers guild teaches gunplay. However guns have been limited to just pistols since the war. The gunslingers are also known for having some of the strongest infuse casters throughout the region. They are known for their speed, durability and seemingly impossible accuracy.

The magicians are the only triune guild that doesn't teach fighting techniques. However it teaches a strong use in exerted magics and a small amount of infused magick as well. The magicians are well known for being able to fight from a distance without worrying about reloading. They are also known for being able to change the entire field around them though they aren't as durable as the rest.
