D3ATHNOTE

i just wasted 3hrs of life attempting Trickster and need a decent addicting game and i keep hearing Maplestory.....so

1) is there item shop?
2) is there a large community?
3) whats busyest server, if there are some to choose form?
4) whats so great about this game?
5)what do the tradibles look like?
*tradibles=items, gear, clothing, pets, weapons ect*
6) are the gear and weapons upgradible?
7) is it a grindfeast type game?

Well the best way to try would be to give it a shot as for your questions

1) Yes there is
2) I'd say yes, but your experience may vary.
3) That would probably be scania, you can pick and choose servers and also channels
4) try playing it as again this is completely different for each person
5) it isn't colour defined like World of Warcraft, most items in the game are infact tradeable
6) yes you can infact upgrade your armour and weapons with stat scrolls for example
7) yes, Maplestory is one of the more grindy Free MMORPGS.

1) Yes there is an item shop varying from cosmetic changes to doubling experience and drop rates

2) That depends on the server you are at. Scania has the largest player base at the moment. I'm in the new server Galicia

3) Scania, then Bera, then either Windia or Broa, Khaini, and the rest. Galicia is pretty decent right now since it is a new server.

4) It's very addictive, but the new content that Maple Story is getting and the new changes going on it's becoming a pretty good game. Still grindy, but better than before.

6) You upgrade items by using specific scrolls to power up an item. It goes by 10%, 60%, and 100% without breaking (100% being the weakest, 10% being the best, but lesser chance of passing). There are 30% scrolls that act like 10% and 70% that act like 60%, but those scrolls have a 50% chance of breaking if failure occurs. You can also increase the amount of times you can scroll (Vicious Hammers using the cash shop), retaining some scrolling slots using clean slate (?) by a certain percent (they can break items as well...), and improving or worsening the stats using a Chaos Scroll (very expensive, but pretty interesting).

7)This has been debated for many times. I have played Maple Story for 5 years and I have seen many changes that have taken place. I personally find the grind not as bad, but still tedious at times. However, the rate in getting to 30-70 has been HIGHLY alleviated with new PQs and new level specific areas (mushroom kingdom 30 < 38, and the new Kerning Square < 50)
