Hey everyone...

I guess this is a rant thread or whatever....I just figured it would be interested to share this with others.

First off , at my school you are basically not even allowed to defend yourself or you will get in trouble. So if an asshole comes up to you...clocks you a good one in the face for no reason..and if you even so much as shove him back you both get suspended reguardless of the situation. It's bull shit... but I can sort of see where they are coming from with the no fights in school and what not. But whats rediculous is when a situation is brought to the school administration..while avoiding a fight and nothing is getting done about it.

Basically here's what happened... My brother was walking home from school about two weeks when a car full-o-blackguys comes rolling around....they drop two guys off behind him and park the car in the street ahead. The two guys that were dropped off come up behind my brother (My brother is 14 years old...these guys were about 6'humongo...pretty pathetic) and hit him in the back of the head twice.... he turns around and both are just standing there and they basically say "You want some" or some bull shit like that. He's a small 14 year old I mean what the hell is he going to do.. so he just says he's not going to do anything..luckily before they can seriously injure him a guy pulls up and they take off running. My brother is brought home ... in tears...scared...might have been hurt I dont know ...he got over it...

The man that brought my brother home got the 4 numbers of the license plate of the attackers...basically all of the numbers just not the first two letters. So i call the police to report it. They are nice... they send an officer over to make a report. He was a pretty cool guy...basically what he tells us is it would be best to bring it up with the school since I guess it's a school related issue and they would be able to handle it pretty well.... well that wasn't the case...at least so far.

My mother brings my brother up to the school they talk to the administrators blah blah blah basically the administrators assure them that if they catch them they will be removed from the school. My brother only recognized one of the guys...he didnt know him he has just seen him around school before. But he hasn't seen him around. He did once but the kid took off running. So yesterday when I went to pick him up from school my girlfriend noticed a car in the student parking lot matching the description. The car was empty so the people who drive the car must go to his school. So I pull into the opposite parking lot I get out and I go check the license plate number...and what do you know it matches. So I get the school police...

I talk to an officer show him the car and he says he will have an officer watch to see who gets in it...and they will try to have my brother identify him...(which would be pretty difficult because they were wearing hoodies and masks and like I said..he only saw one guy who was sitting in the car at the time.) So ok..sounds like a plan to me. School is released... I get my brother bring him to the officer..about 15 min go by..and I guess they saw who got into the car...and they just let him drive away. They didn't attempt to stop him or anything... What they tell me is they will try to handle it tommorow... That left us confused...so my mother calls up there to see what actions will be taken...and basically they say there's not much they can do... I don't get it... we got the license plate # ..it matched the police report we made 2 weeks prior so we couldnt have just made it up right there... the guy who was driving had to of been involved.. yet theres nothing that can be done? They can't even grab him to question him or identify him or whatever...

I mean it's bull shit that self defense doesn't count in school but when you decide to do the right thing and speak up...nothing get's done about it.So basically no matter what happens your ****ed either way. We called a detective and left him our number so we are waiting to get a call back hopefully something gets done about. I just wanted to share this with everyone to see what they though of the situation.

- Sorry for the long post though.. I did split it up pretty good so it would be a little easier to read...just post your thoughts I guess....whether it be negative or positive.

suggestion: Never go against the school if u are the student ... talking from loong experience xD ... in my school days i had alot of conflicts with teachers and students and such... and never won anything really ... it was just a waste of time.

We aren't really going against them... just trying to get them to do their damn jobs and handle the situation. And if they wont then we will probably just have to take it to the local police so they will.... I dont know i've never really had this situation before.

Welcome to reality land. Many things happen in life that are either stupid or just plain suck. I could list a few dozen things that have happened to me that should not of in an ideal world, but that is just something we all have to face. Then again most kids no longer have parents who teach them the real harsh reality by beating their *** now and again.

Agreed...but that still doesn't make it right. And there's just no excuse for nothing getting done about it. With all the info we have... should be something done with it.... I mean in all honesty I know the police have much more serious matters to tend to.. .but that "Welcome to reality land" ordeal can only work for so long...

i soo agree ... its time to face reality dude ... nothing will change if u take them to police or w/e u will only go more against them and they eventually will **** your school life up ... i had problems which took me to police they took me there not i took ... but all the same reason :| i would just leave them be... because nothing will ever change they got the power and u are only the kid ...

its like cat and mouse ... they are the cats and u are the mouse ... cats will be superior to mouses ... :|

This didn't happen to me... i've already graduated from school... and I know shit happens in life...im not an idiot... Just wait until something like that happens to you or your family...are you just going to shrug it off and say shit happens or are you going to at least try to do something? I don't get why people are thinking my brother was taught a lesson here... he was assaulted because some punk asses were bored and wanted someone to pick on... maybe if he ****ed with them first then they beat his ***...that would be a lesson..but it didnt happen that way...Not going to just forget about it... that would be the worst thing to do .. then you will bascially be saying "Go ahead..beat me down... I wont say anything."

I'm taking a wild guess, but you probably also live in the US which means you just have to shrug it off. Be glad they didn't kill him and hope that it doesn't happen again.

No.. because you see... in the US we have laws... and assaulting another human being...violates those laws... in which you don't have to shrug it off. Im fairly certain something will get done about it.. just not by the school itself even though they should be the ones taking action. And i'm very glad that he got away with just a few lumps on his head.

If you didn't get the memo, the US justice system works about half the time. The other half of the time is just hypocrisy and confusion.
