Default TheOneRing Radio Show: Upcoming guests: Ted Nasmith, Tad Williams and More!

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theoneringnet

TheOneRing.net has been busy booking guests midway into March for their radio show!
Take a look at their upcoming schedule!

Sunday, February 28th, 2PM EASTERN: Guests include paranormal author Lura Ketchledge. www.luraketch.com

From her website: "I have led an eclectic life. For more than twenty years, I have owned horses, or I should say been their employee! I have been a model, waitress, bartender /shrink and a house- wife. These are the fine ingredients that made me a Paranormal Author. Oh, I am leaving out one important part of the equation. I died when I was nineteen and came back with psychic abilities."

Sunday March 7th, 2PM EASTERN: Guests include Author Louis Hemsey (The Legend of Justice and Diamonds). www.louhemsey.com

Lou graduated from The Mannes College of Music in York City, majoring in composition and classical guitar. After moving to Los Angeles, his expertise spread to CD Mastering of Records and Score; bringing his deep musicality to the technical art. Some of his CD Mastering clients include: Disney, Universal Pictures, Sony, Miramax, Hollywood Pictures, Dreamworks Records, RCA, Arista Records, Geffen Records, Interscope Records, BMG, Heads Up Records, Alligator Records, Pacific Blues and many other Indie labels.

Lou’s HEnterainment Inc. is a feature film production boutique, currently in pre-production, as Writer/Director, Producer, on: “Matter of Honor,” an Italian themed crime drama; “Charm School” a coming of age dramedy; “Madame President;” “The Godmothers;” and “Power.”

Sunday March 14th, 2PM EASTERN: Guests include American comic book writer and artist Colleen Doran (A Distant Soil) www.colleendoran.com

Doran broke into the comic book industry when still a teenager, in the 1980s. A Distant Soil was originally published by Wendy and Richard Pini's WaRP Graphics, publishers of Elfquest. Doran has since illustrated hundreds of comics, graphic novels, books and magazines and dozens of stories and articles.

After leaving WaRP, Colleen went on to completely rewrite and redraw the entire A Distant Soil series from scratch, self-publishing it for some years before moving on to Image Comics where it is now in multiple printings as a series of graphic novels. The character Thessaly in Neil Gaiman's Sandman is based on Doran, and she illustrated two issues of that series (#20 and #34) in the early 1990s.

She has attended multiple World Science Fiction Conventions, San Diego Comic Cons, The Singapore Writers Festival, and many The Lord of the Rings conventions including Ring*Con, ELF, and ORC. She is also featured in the films Ringers (a documentary about The Lord of the Rings fans), Scenes From the Small Press: Colleen Doran by Rich Henn, and Sex, Lies and Superheroes.

Sunday March 21st, 2PM EASTERN: TheOneRing.net Radio Show Welcomes Ted Nasmith www.tednasmith.com.

Ted Nasmith is best known as an illustrator of J. R. R. Tolkien's works — The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion.

In 1972, Nasmith mailed photographs of some of his paintings to J. R. R. Tolkien. Tolkien responded by letter a few weeks later, both praising the work and making the comment that the rendition of Bilbo Baggins seemed a little too childlike. Still a teenager at the time, this early feedback from Tolkien encouraged Nasmith to strive for a more literal interpretation of Tolkien's works.

Nasmith is also considered a Tolkien scholar, well-read in ancient history, religion, and other areas. He is a prominent member of several Tolkien-related organizations (such as The Tolkien Society, the Mythopoeic Society, and Mensa's Beyond Bree).

Nasmith is a musician, guitarist and tenor. Much of his musical work is likewise inspired by Tolkien's writings. His first commercial album, The Hidden Door: Songs in the Key of Enchantment, was released in 2007. He has also worked on a musical project entitled Beren and Lúthien: A Song Cycle, with his friend Alex Lewis, and has a close friendship with the founders of The Tolkien Ensemble.

Sunday March 28th, 2PM EASTERN: Guests include acclaimed author Tad Williams www.tadwilliams.com

Tad Williams is the author of several fantasy and science fiction novels, including Tailchaser's Song, the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series, the Otherland series, and The War of the Flowers.

Williams is currently writing the Shadowmarch series, the first volume of which was published in November 2004. The second volume, Shadowplay, was published in March 2007. The third volume currently work-titled Shadowrise is currently being written and a fourth and final volume will conclude the series.

In July 2006, Williams started publishing a new six issue comic mini-series called The Next through DC Comics. A second series for DC Comics called The Factory is currently in planning stages. In addition, Tad wrote Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis for DC Comics starting with issue #50, a project which began in March 2007 and ended with issue #57.

Tad Williams is also currently working on a series of young-adult books co-written with his wife Deborah Beale called Ordinary Farm. The first volume, The Dragons of Ordinary Farm was published in June 2009 and a second book, A Witch at Ordinary Farm is expected in 2010. Three more volumes are planned.

You could of asked yourself "Does this belong in Free MMORPG" if you couldn't work out the answer you would of then moved to "Is this a Free MMORPG or even a MMORPG at all?".

This would of resulted with a simple "No". Thus moving you on to other sections with general being the most obvious choice.
