Same dude. I still remember going to the store with my mom to get Pokemon Gold. And one of my good friends I met through Pokemon trading. It was awesome. Good times good times.

Nowadays, for a game to be half decent, it has to have online and a campaign of at least 6 hours. Games were so much more fun when the standards weren't so high.

Games have higher standards because of the technology and popularity.

Sure older games have the nostalgic feeling but comparing new games to older ones is like comparing cell phones to phone booths.

Sure old pokemon was cool, and neat. And ofcourse they're classics and they're unforgettable....

But alot of the new games are rock solid as well else than stupid pokemon and a few "ugh" features.

Such as SoulSilver and HeartGold coming out. I played Soul Silver (JP) and it's like Silver + Red together. It's pretty cool
