I know I may be asking the impossible, but all I really get out of the MMOs I've played so far is "grind grind grind, next level, new armour. Yaaay!" I'm looking for an MMO that I can actually enjoy without running into grind too often. Things that would help are
-other skills besides fighting
-quests with more engaging storyline
-cutscenes
-group activities

You're pretty much asking for for Runes Of Magic and Allods. Also if you can afford the disk, guild wars has almost no grind, thousands of quests.

What kind of game are you actually looking for: a "WoW-like MMO", something browser-based, text-based...? Or you don't really care about its content or platform?

Runescape

no grind and lots of thing s to llevel like woodcutting and stuff

I've quit RuneScape because it *consists* of pure grind in its purest form! RuneScape beats any other game in amount of mindless clicks needed to achieve success in *any* area...

again, it cannot be stated too much - a grind-less MMORPG is an oxymoron.

but, i second the recommendation of Allods, it's worth the hype it's getting IMHO. Guild Wars is also a great option, and the game is pretty cheap these days.
