I got called into the office at work today, and handed a copy of a blog I wrote on Myspace last week during a bad day of work. I was venting, talking about how a former empoyee screwed us over, and how I was burnt out on the job when I used to love it, and I'd like to find a new job. Just ranting to burn off steam and feel better.

So apparently the supervisors think I hurt the integrity of the company (I NEVER mentioned the company name, nor any employee's name, btw), and suspended me from work for 3 days without pay....and escorted me out of the building right through the front past all the employees and customers. how's that for integrity?

Over a MYSPACE blog! One that was meant for me, my gf and my closest friends only! My job is at risk over a friggin blog!

So take this as a warning. What you post can come back to haunt you. Regardless of whether they have the right or not.

If I ever find out who searched it out and turned it into my supervisors, I will get violent. Quickly.

Isn't that illegal to do in some states Roon? Roon you work at an office don't you so could it be perhaps they have logs of all the places you go and you logged into myspace one time? But that is really screwed up, I take it, it was your supervisor that came up and talked to you. I would be so pissed and want to talk to some one higher then them about this whole ordeal, but you are much more intellegent then me so probably already thought of that lol.

man, thats bad, sorry. why don't you quit that one and look for another.
there are lots of jobs out there that you deserve, and don't try to get
violent it might get worse, you'll get sued..

The same thing actually happened at my school, people were being suspended left and right because of content on their myspaces. Pure bullshit IMO.

Wow thats amazing. Never thought something like that could happen. Gotta really suck, I'd be so damn pissed. Hope things get better.

My Myspace was deleted for having Anarchist references. My school probably would have been mad too on second thought... The only solution is to overthrow the government.

you got to be carefull with blogs, my friend, posted on his blog that he hated this kid from our school and that he was a complete douch bag, aparently, the dude randomly checked my friends blog, printed it out, handed it to the principal, and my friend got a 2 week suspention becose they think he could "get violent towards this kid" tus why you should never trust these blogs with any slightly personal things, since it can be used against you for the most stupid things

Well, you gotta becareful at work. My dad's coworker got in trouble because she was watching videos on the web. The videos were CNN news clips. They thought she was playing around on the web, but she wasn't she was looking at the news because she had no access to the web at home. Maybe that's why you got suspended cause you went to a different site you were not suppose to go to instead of working.

Meh i dunno. Good thing i dont work or use the interweb at a public place, as i would hate to get in trouble for Harassing disabled people

That sucks roony, you can probably find some legal loophole and sue

it was me roon i found it and showed it to your supervisors ! lol nah i didnt do it but dang how could they have known it was you though? i mean you dont tell your boss what your myspace account is do you?
