Weird is subjective too y'know.
And some, like you, are more adventurous in their endeavors with food.
I personally couldn't eat the crabs, but that's mainly because the only shellfish I can eat without feeling a twinge of pain is shrimp. Mainly because every time when I was young and went to a seafood restaurant I would see the crabs and lobster in a tank and watching people choose which one should die sort of killed the enjoyment for me.
Hypocritical? Maybe, but it's not like I try to force my view on others either so...meh
Anyway, all that to say, going "eew " at food might just be because the person had a bad experience with it/doesn't like it in general. It doesn't always have to do with being close-minded.

Actually the curry lemonade, scallops and mayo flavored and the Roasted baby crabs aren't that bad. Those pocky things taste awfull compared to those

Haha wow, the japanese are oddly traditional in certain parts of their life, and wildly out of the box in others. ah japan the land of contradictions and crazy stuff

Of all the ones there, the least weirdest one is the baby crabs...
I've actually physically seen those roasted crabs in my hands before...
but no, i didnt eat any of it.

Eh in some countries they eat crickets for snacks.

So yeah every country has strange foods.
