Hell, you can get a $100 9800GT 1GB now, but I'd suggest not to. You can get a 5670 1GB for $120, it's the equivalent of a 9800GT, but with DX11 support.

Wait you want to upgrade from a 9800gt for around that price?

The 9800gt costs around 80-100 USD so there is no chance of an upgrade for that price.

You will have to spend around 300 USD to get anything that would show better performance.

A 9800gt can play most games at max settings anyway so you shouldn't need to upgrade.

Huh, I misread the post...But yea, like Ronin said, you won't get any noticeably better performing cards, under $200, $300 is where it's extremely noticeable.

Yeah the whole problem Irony is that a friend of mine "accidently fried" my 9800GT, so I was looking for something that would be a slight upgrade for a bit more kick, nothing to amazing.

But here's a little update for you my fellow pc lovers, I decided to go with a
ATI Radeon HD 4850 PCIE 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI Video Card

I did some research and it seems that the 4850 is better than the 9800, so I completed my mission

Can't wait to see it on the my 23inch 1080p monitor.
