(( Some of you may remember this thread from a while ago - well, I wanted to do a re-make of it with a different storyline, so here it is. ))

This world isn't different from yours - not much different, anyway. People kill people with guns, politicians wear suits and ramble on about change. The skys are filled with pollution and crime continues to ravage the streets of the grey and gritty New York city.

Except humanity has a new weapon in this pointless conflict, their avatar. Each human has an avatar that stands by their sides. It represents them - and their powers. Let's say someone has an avatar of that of a hawk - this avatar will give them unparalleled insight, dexterity and eyes sharper than most humans that would point out things most couldn't.

Humans have a mental link with their avatars, and their avatars may speak to others as if they were human themselves. Whilst the strength they bring is large - if an avatar is killed, the human either dies, or becomes a geist. Geist have no emotions, and will serve under whomever took the demon away. As if in a vain attempt to grasp it back.

Unfortunately, the government has been controlling this - eventually grasping it's hand snug around the populace. A hand of dark oppression. They have created a legion of giests. No-one knew this until now, no-one apart from the small, nearly run-down rebel group. Who formed upon finding this out, a group of few, selected warriors plucked from their life by the hands of fate.

As the fates will align, will the rebels be able to face off against the threat?

My Sheet:

Name: Orson Karvi

Description:He appears a tall, striking figure. His hair is brown, tied to the back in a loose, unkempt ponytail. He tends to wear a loose, brown shirt with a leather over jacket. He also wears dirty, torn jeans with a belt holding them up. His face is gaunt, yet strong and handsome. And stubble mattes his chin. His eyes are coloured in an odd way, one blue, one gold.

Personality: He tends to be quiet and decisive. Never really giving too much about himself away. However, he is a kind man, and is willing to put his life on the line for those he loves. However, he can seem... strange at times, as if he is never really there. Eyes misting over as they stare vainly into the distance.

Avatar's Name: Nari

Avatar's Description: Nari is a white-furred tiger, slightly larger than most - she stands at an impressive four feet tall and eight feet long. Her black markings very distinctive, she has oddly coloured eyes, one blue, and one gold.



Avatar's Personality:Nari is playful and fun-loving. She tends to have a cheery mannerism about things, but can be reckless and angry when annoyed. To her enemies, she is a deadly adversary. To her friends, she is a faithful and loyal companion.

History of the Human and it's Avatar: Orson and Nari were orphaned - their mother had passed from cancer, and his father had left home and never came back. After growing old enough, Orson went onto the streets. Upon chance, he found out what the government were doing when one of the convoys of captured humans and avatars were going to a factory where the giests were being produced.

And from that day forth, he began to recruit members into the rebellion. Training them, training himself - to use their avatars and themselves to their full potential. To help them where they could not help themselves. This was his mission.

Abilities that the Avatar brings about: Due to Nari's thick, nearly impenetrable hide, Orson is very tough. Bullets are stopped short of vital organs if aimed well, and knife-wielders have a hard time even denting him. Nari is also very athletic, and can survive most falls. This also passes onto Orson, being able to perform supernatural feats of agility and also being able to survive falls that would snap the legs of most humans.

Also, he has a very keen sense of smell, and is able to track down scents - and smell them approaching, his reflexes are also keen, and he is sometimes able to dodge bullets where most humans would've died before they even had a chance to think.

Weapons the human may carry: Orson tends to carry two, silver pistols inside his jacket, and a knife attached to a strap on his leg - underneath his trousers.

Name: Ray Finniark
Description:
Pretty much everything except the elvish ears match Ray's appearance. Ray's passion for his motorcycle is shown by his attire. The goggles on his head affect his field of vision while driving, they are also helpful in every-day use. His sleeveless jacket keeps the warmth inside and the wind away, perfect for driving. He's tough enough to keep his arms bare, except his hands. Ray has racing shoes which greatly affect his balance.

Ray loves the blue color so he dyed his hair blue. He also has tattoos that run through his face and body, blue colored. Ray's eyes are also blue, they are gentle and have a sense of calmness in them. Just like the calmness of the blue sky above us. People easily trust him for his overall appearance.

Personality: Ray is fully mature and always keeps his cool. He is a likeable guy even though you don't really know why. He appears to be someone who knows exactly what is going on and what he's going to do. He could be described as the "silent hero" -type, although he would never agree with that.

As you can tell from the picture, hopefully, Gila's a monkey. She is rather small, although she is tall enough to lean on Ray's hair if she's standing on his shoulder. Her almost white eyes are a striking feature about her, by "almost" I mean that her eyes are visible. They are light grey colored. Other than that, she looks exactly like any other monkey.

Avatar's Personality: Gila is a kind-hearted and gentle soul. She couldn't kill even a fly. She is smart and usually gives advice to Ray. Gila is also very polite and good-mannered, like a well-trained pet. Of course she isn't a pet, she is free to do whatever she wants. She just doesn't want to. She especially likes to sit on top of Ray's shoulder.

History of the Human and it's Avatar:
Ray's life took a drastic turn at the age of 15 when he decided to leave home and venture out into the world. He had always longed to visit New York, now he had the chance since he got his first bike. It was a moped, or "rookie" as his father called it. Ray was completely taken by his new moped and spent most of his free time playing around with it.
Gila was never interested about the bike, she observed and did her best to advice Ray.

The sudden decision from Ray shocked Gila completely. Here she was, having a normal day in a perfectly normal home, and then Ray decides to destroy it by leaving it all behind. Gila sulked most of the way to New York but eventually she forgave Ray. It was a new and fun experience after all. Gila rarely liked if something changed in her life, change usual meant only bad, at least to her.

As the years flew by, Ray was able to get his hands on a real motorcycle. It was a metal silver colored with a few black flames to decorate it. Ray still uses the same bike, it's his treasure of all time.
How did Ray get into the rebel group then? It was when he turned 22 and finally realized that there was something seriously messed up with how the things were.
It was by accident that he ran into Orson's rebel group. And because of that simple accident, Ray joined the fight. Partly because of Gila, she was the first one to suggest it.

Abilities that the Avatar brings about: Ray is quick and agile. He is able to perform acrobatic stunts quite easily. He is also good at climbing and also when it comes to doing something with hands. Such as repairing etc.
Weapons the human may carry: A jungle knife and pair of black 9mm handguns.

Overshadowed

Name: Keith Volden
Description: Keith looks to be a tall and very muscular Chinese individual. He is tall in stature and keeps a bald scalp that is tattooed with the word "Crush" in a murky green colour. He wears a white sleeveless vest on his upper body and a pair of brown cargo pants that reach down to his kneecaps. His eyes are also a murky green in colour and a dyed green soul-patch is located on his chin. Both of his canine teeth are a peculiar black colour.
Personality: Keith is an outspoken individual and feigns ignorance of idiocy whenever he feels like it in public. Within, he is an ambitious and smart individual that wants to be noticed by others.

Avatar's Name:Mandel

Avatar's Description:Mandel is a rather large Python, being 20FT in length. His skin is a glossy olive-green colour and there are many pale yellow blotches that go down his entire body. His belly is a beige colour with the word "Crush" is tattooed on to his underbelly.

Avatar's Personality: Mandel has an aggressive personality. He is usually outspoken and is never afraid to offend another, even if it were Keith. Mandel however keeps a close enough bond with Keith because he realizes it is more beneficial to cooperate with him than to oppose him. Mandel is not very honorable and will do whatever it takes to destroy opposition.

History of the Human and it's Avatar: Keith ran away from home after the incredible amount of neglect by his father due to his interest in gangs.Soon enough, Keith quickly found the local gang leader and persuaded the thug to take him in to his crew. After several weeks of manslaughter and back-alley brawls, he and the local gang decided to rob a bank. However, it did not go well, there were no bank personnel in sight. Instead, in their place were many men in black suits seemingly appearing out of nowhere and began to attack the gang members.

Keith had met with the police before and these were not the average donut loving police officers. The men seemed very experienced and only targeted the avatars. Keith hid in a corner during the entire scene and could not turn away from the curious site. It must have been some sort of miracle for Keith was not discovered and as soon as the last few avatars were slain, the men conversed in low voices that Keith could not hear. As soon as the men left, Keith got out of the bank and continued to run as far away as possible. Soon after, he met with Orson and was persuaded to join the rebel group.

Abilities that the Avatar brings about: Keith is incredibly agile and has spectacularly quick reflexes. He also has exceptionally sharp and durable canine teeth that can pierce through thick leather with ease, much less human tissue. Mandel is a very powerful python with the ability to constrict prey. This is passed on to Keith and so, he has an incredible amount of power and strength throughout every inch of his body. Keith is also very flexible and can bend himself in many ways that would usually be considered impossible for regular human beings.

Weapons the human may carry: One machine pistol is attached to his waist along with a belt of ammunition. A combat knife is sheathed and tied against each thigh, hidden under his cargo pants.

History of the Human and it's Avatar: As kat was a young girl all she would do was talk to sunder, her only friend, as she was very distant from most people sunder was always there. But as she grew older and older, sunder and kat both changed, and they would seem to co operate better, but hated each other. When Kat was 15 she ran away from home with sunder, and began a life on the streets, he life on the streets were an easy time, being able to seduce most men, and then killing them for whatever she needed, sunder did not approve. Yet as the years went on, sunder and kat started to have that little spark between each other again, starting to be nice to each other again, they now co operate much better than they were fighting, and now after the one night when orson recruited them both for her keen skills of agility, and strength, they have been sitting and waiting for orsons orders.


Abilities that the Avatar brings about:
extreme agility, and seemingly enhanced eye sight, more hearing than the normal human, and the very thick hide that Sunder has transfers over to kats skin, making it a very thick layer of skin, not being a master of this trait, she can stop most bullets, but not all from hitting her vital organs, and when in up close combat, people find it hard to penetrate her skin. She is able to "pounce" from place to place, and onto people, jumping a long distance, or running extremely fast are both trates that have transferred over also. There is also the traight of sunders that brings forth alot of strength to kat, sunders large paws, arms, and grip all transfer to kat, and she is a fast, mean, and strong girl that many think twice about before approaching.

((I bed on a new character. I had one in mind already so ))

Name: Taiven Hyal

Description: by TheMrStick from deviantart.
Taivens hair is white with a few strings of very light blond in it. Her eyes on the other hand seem to dark for her hair for they are dark brown, the same color as Kylun's. She is quite small although she may look smaller due the fact that she wears such big clothes. Her jacket is very dark grey and she wears long black baggy trousers with white shoes under them. Under the jacket she has a white shirt with black mark (two circles triangled together).
In addition Taiven has a large scar on her back that starts on her right shoulder and ends above her left hip.

Personality: At first look Taiven seems the typical shy type girl as she stands there trying to stay unnoticed but actually Taiven is someone you can have fun with although not the kind of fun like going to the pub and have a drink or going out. She likes keeping quiet but likes to laugh and is pretty optimistic. She doesn't like to give away much about herself to anybody, something she learned from the live on the streets. When something neats to be done, she will do it, when something goes wrong, she can step over it.

Avatar's Description:
Being a Fennec Fox Kylun is small and has big ears. His eyes stand allert and his ears seems to catch every sound. He is good at making himself go up in the surroundings so that you can hardly see him.
Avatar's Personality: A big mouth. Kylun likes to joke around with everyone and everybody but expecially with Taiven. He likes her seriousness about things and often makes fun of her. Of course he can get serious and you know you are wrong. He might look small but his bites are strong and his small body doesn't make him an easy target. But mostly he is easy going.

History of the Human and it's Avatar: Born in the outskirts of a big city Taiven and Kylun grew up on the streets when they had to find her own food to live another day. You know them, from those little kids who squirm over the streets all dirty and with pale looking faces, searching to the last bit of food. That was Taiven. But as all children she eventually managed to get into a gang. Together they could survive better, finding more food and money. Yeah stealling was involved but that is just how it went. Taiven never knew her parents but she did not have the time to miss them.

Then all kinds of bad things happened (I like to reviel it in the thread) that Taiven actually burried away somewhere in her mind and she don't want to talk about it but it involved geists and her best friend Corvan. Anyway she had to flee while being chased by a hord of geists. Kylun's abilities helped her out big time but not enough. Orson saved her that day while she fighting her way out, covered in blood, and she joined him since she had no other place to go. She is still very gratefull for that.

Abilities that the Avatar brings about: Taiven has very good ears and is able to hear better then most humans. Understanding mumbling people that are on the other side of the room is not a problem. Besides that, Taiven seems to be able to hide in every small corner that she sees. Hiding is one of her specialties. Since Kylun is a dessert fox he is resisted to extreme heath and so is Taiven. In extreme colds though this works in disadvantace.

Weapons the human may carry: A white pistol in her jacket, two knifes, one hidden under her trousers and one pops somehow every time out of her sleeve. Also she has a rusty old pocket knife that isn't even sharp anymore. It isn't a real weapon but more a memento to Corvan.

Avatar's Personality: very mature, she always worries about Tabby, and she constantly tries to get Tabby out of trouble
History of the Human and it's Avatar: When they were young they were left by their parents. They were petty criminals. they stole what they needed. then one day they stole from Orson. He caught them and brought them in. she met Taiven and she sees her as an older sister. She cares about and looks up to Taiven more then she does for anyone else.
Abilities that the Avatar brings about: extreme agility, they are able to free run with incredible speed and persistence, they can make jumps no other human or cat can
Weapons the human may carry: throwing knives and big throwing stars that she wears strapped to her back, small round smoke and flash bombs, ulaks

Screenfox: Sure, the only thing I want is that Tabby and Taiven have met during the period that Taiven was by Orson. I don't want Taiven to have anybody from her past with her for then my idea about her past would be messed up. ))
