Well.. i am stuck on which one to play...
I would like to know this: How much grinding do you need to do? How is the fighting system? - I know runes of magic provides an awesome dual class system :P How dependent is the game on the cash shop? - I've heard that runes of magic is very cash shop dependent - I've also been hearing things about Allods online cursed items? and you need to buy some kind of potion from the cash shop to cure it? If it is so, then how often will you see cursed items? How is the community? - I have played a few mmorpgs for a long time, and one of the main reasons is that i made friends easily on that game, due to a very good community. Are there other things to do besides fighting? - Perhaps a housing system.. (like in flyff) - Or like in runescape there are many other skills to train besides combat... All help appreciated

Both are actually really good. The only reason why I'm not playing RoM is because the gear in the game is kind of crazy. For example, if your rich you can have a twink with gear that has a ton of crazy + bonuses to stats and damage. Some end gear game ive inspected fills half the screen with +++ stats. And unless I have some of that crazy godlike gear I dont wanna play, lol

I've installed both of them the past month. I wish I could sort of combine the two. LOL.
I would have to say that if Runes of Magic had as many races as Allods or more, I'd like it better. Also, if it had Runes of Magic's graphics. Not found of RoM's graphics and the fact that there's only two races. In RoM, you can buy a house but I haven't bought one yet. I really enjoy the crafting system, and so far there's not much grind. There might be a quest here or there to kill X amount of monsters but there's also a lot of quests where you just deliver/collect an item or answer questions. With the crafting system, you can pretty much learn everything instead of just one or two skills, and there's a lot of material available to collect. Also, btw, if you choose to download RoM, I'd recommend using RoM's downloader. I downloaded it in parts, twice, and it wouldn't install correctly. And the download is huge. |

Runes of Magic is a total lagfest. For me it was, but when I was playing, it was real fun.
The skills are awesome, you can play two classes, say... Mage/Paladin. Using all mage skills and Mage's Paladin skills. Each class has a set of skills for their second class. So a Mage/Paladin's paladin skills are different from a Rogue/Paladin's Paladin skills. Get what I'm sayin'? It was really sweet, and you can switch out to have your second class as your first (In this case, I could be a Paladin/Mage. Paladin was hard as hell to use. Probably cause of lag) I'd still be playing it if there were no lag spikes every 4 seconds. Not sure what allods is though, sorry. |
