Default Competitive PvP Request

Hello all,

It just occurred to me that summer is just around the corner, and of all the treasonous things that could happen - I don't have a MMO with which to fill my time D: (The horror)

I've been away from the whole MMOG scene for just under half a year now, the only game I recently tried was WAR and that was just for a couple days until the trial ran its course. Six months can mean tons of games and updates have been released since i was last up to date, so I'm just here to see if anything enticing has come about.

Here's a basic outline of what I'm looking for in a game: (In no particular order)

1. 3d graphics - I'm not looking for state of the art jizz-your-pants graphics, I just can never adjust to the whole 2d maplestory/DnF gameplay style. It just bothers me >_<

2. A somewhat live community - Possibly the worst feeling in and online game is that you're all by yourself. It's just awful to me, I'm not asking for anything huge. Just something big enough to keep things interesting.

3. Engaging, fun, competitive PvP - PvE combat to me is and almost always been tertiary to a fun scramble for your life in a PvP setting. I love being able to work with a team of skilled cohorts and simply outplay the opposition.

4. The ability to start endgame PvP fairly soon - I absolutely loathe the idea of having to grind for months and months just get get into the action of PvP. I never understood that design at all, but I guess I'm just strange. In my ideal world one could just start at max level and only have to worry about gear and improving their game, but my ideal world has only existed once for me.

5. F2P - A free game is obviously preferable, but if you know of a game that you feel would suit me perfectly but is P2P or B2P don't be afraid to throw it out there.

If you're not quite picking up what I'm putting down I'll give you a few examples of games I've enjoyed: (I would consider returning to any of the following. Because obviously I've enjoyed myself with them before)

Heroes of Newerth: The teamwork required in this game just made my smile every time i sat down. I don't know if anyone else feels similarly but I just loved playing electrician, if I was playing my A-game our team would always have a fighting chance.

World of Warcraft: The farthest I've ever got in retail is about level 63 or so, but I really enjoyed myself on a wowscape's battlescape test realm. (I know we're not supposed to talk about them here but this one is shut down and I'm not posting links or anything) Although it never had tons of players online there was always enough for BGs or skirmish 2s or 3s, because everyone was doing pvp. (Usually 800+ online at a time) Unfortunately that pserver got shut down and I don't know of any like it. I also tried my hand at PTR during this previous summer, it reminded me a lot of battlescape except of course it's p2p.

Warhammer online: Age of Reckoning: I only played the trial until level 10, and got very geared on a shaman. I liked the way the battlefield was split up into roles and you could only be successful if there were enough people filling each position.

I hope I've painted an accurate picture of what I'm looking for in a game, and that maybe what I'm looking for is out there. and any replies are greatly appreciated

Guild Wars fit everything you said, but you buy the game, and don't play Monthly. You can start at level 20 (Max) for chars only made in PvP, who also start with the best armor. There's so much diversity though, but people don't use it. if you have a smart mind like me and don't use the builds that every other noob does, you can own everyone, like I did. Quit for two reasons

Hit max amount of money (1000k)
Owned too many people (Got repetitive)

I'd have to give you my Email account and password so NOOOOPE :P

Eh the games not that hard, played 3 years on and off and I barely know how to PvE. Why? PvE is trash. Theres a certain thing about this game...there is ONE and usually ONLY ONE build for EVERYTHING. So being in a group is like...play a class you don't want to (Usually monk to repel damage) or don't go at all.

I've played almost every single Free mmo game out there and don't like most of them. I just installed Aika online so gonna try this out...

hahaha it was worth a try

I still wish there was some other wow ehm server like battlescape, anyone who ever played it knows what I'm talking about when i say it was really an exceptional experience as far as private servers go.

I'm kind of thinking about giving fallout online another try, I just recommended it to someone and I'm just remembering how unique the game was compared to every other grinder out there.

EDIT: I just checked out aika online, it seems pretty cool so i think i'll give it a try

Savage 2 is... I just don't really like it. Something about the game just doesn't coincide with my tastes. I can't even put a finger on it.

HoN as I already mentioned i tried and liked, I think i might try it again later.

LoL, the impression i got was that this is a less teamwork or more casual version of HoN. Which is just two of the things i liked about HoN subtracted from the equation.

TCoS... I've honestly never tried. I've heard very little about it so I don't even know what to expect. Isn't the community fairly dead? I think i might give that a try this one a little later.

EDIT: downloaded aika online... the client kept crashing. - it looked like something i probably wouldn't enjoy anyway
