((Haha i wasn't going to kill it, notice i was one of the only ones who didn't land a hit))
"Yes sire." Mark retracted one mace and turned the other to a bow. The arrows of the bow explode on impact. "lets move." This was bothersome. But he would do what his boss wanted... |

Core watched as Kieth scrambled forward toward Charlin. She moved much the same trying to get to her feet. Brushing off all the sand that swept its way up, into her face, on her clothes, and in her hair, she brought her gaze back up to look at Kieth again. He was obviously urgent at this point. Core picked up her pace and made her way close behind him. With every step, sand glided up into the air before settling back down.
Much more than before, Core feared him. Recoiling now would have made her feel vulnerable, and look spooked. She needed to be strong, but being around so many... people made her feel closed in. More and more she felt claustrophobic. She tightened her wings to her back more. Her purple eyes fluttered, keeping sand from intruding into her face. Why was she here? What kept her here? Core struggled with herself for a moment. Making their way to the dunes, she felt much better. They were catching up. "Charlin!? You out there?!" Core's voice boomed and echoed off only the sand and sky. It was empty, intimidating. Nothing for what seemed miles. Just sand. A twinge of fear arose in Core's throat again but she kept her appearance neutral. |

Rajik glided over the sand. "Core, do you truly care about her?" he asked her but this time he was not far way. "Or perhaps you might rather confront me." he was standing not far away next to dune which blocked the view of him from everyone except Core. He opened his arms wide and said. "I'm right here."...

Seeing nothing but sand bored Charlin greatly. If she had been alone, Charlin would have gone mad in disappointment and lack of interest. Of course, she wasn't alone. The fire worm that she had calmed was by her side, zig-zagging on the ground next to her. If the walk grew overbearing, Chantel knew she could gesture towards the fire worm so that he would allow her to ride upon his back. In the time she struggled forward, Charlin had passed some of the time by shouting out names over the rage of sandstorms nearby. Most of the names were rejected, but the fire worm settled upon the name of Cyon, from the word "Halcyon". A purr of improval told Charlin that the naming process was successful, taking away some of the boredom that had overcome her. Unfortunately, she couldn't find much of anything to please her at the moment.
"Auuuhhh! If this goes on, I...I won't be able to bare it. I wish someone would find me already..." As if on cue, Charlin could just barely make out shadowed forms in the distance. Hopping onto Cyon and charging towards them, Charlin saw that it was none other than Keith and Mark. Slowing Cyon down so that the two would think that they were being attacked, Charlin slid down his back and stood before them. Instead of greeting them in appreciation, though, Charlin couldn't help but ask about the thing that was bothering her. "Where is Corelett? Did she come with the both of you?" Then Charlin recalled the other two girls that were present. "What happened Cetiri and that assassin as well? Did you two abandone them all?" |

"Is that thing friendly now?" Keith looked at the Fire Worm nervously, fingering his sword. "Corlett and Cetiri..." Keith looked at the sand sheepishly as he replied, "We left in a rush, to make sure you were all right, and I have no clue where they are right now..." Keith looked back, hoping to see three figures running towards him, but was greeted by a barren landscape instead. "Well they should get here soon enough, but we did not abandon them!" Keith met Charlin's eyes with a fiery passion, one fitting a Blazen, abandoning people was not something he did.

Core had ran ahead. Far behind her, the barren landscape showed no figures, in front of her, none as well. Trapped and engulfed in solitude, Corelett sat in the sand. Rough grains welled up her legs, and the wind collided with her. A gust, gathering enough force to rush the sand up from under it, into a wave, impacted with her, instantly knocking her over.
Rajik's voice echoed in her ears and she clasped her hands over them, desperate to block the voice. "Leave me alone!" Her voice raced over the emptiness. It echoed in her ears. No one was there to hear. She could feel her eyes getting hot, but the sand punching her made her ache. It was like she had chosen the wrong place to be. What seemed like a storm was raging its way just around Core. Piles of sand would attack her arm, then run into her face. It was an endless rant of sand. She stood up blocked the sand from her eyes. I don't have a choice... Her gaze rose up to the plentiful sky, greeting her. Contemplating over the different consequences, she noticed a heap of sand tearing its way toward her. In panic, she rushed herself to the only conclusion she could think of. The obsedian glare of her feathers, reflected off the pale sand grains, while the stretched from her back. Core flipped back stray, blonde bangs from her face, no longer imparing her vision. A giant flap of her long wingspand brought her airborne. A moment of hesitation passed before another flap took place, shooting her far up into the sky. Her wings tucked into her back as she flew up higher and higher above the emptiness. Finally, her speed lowering, her wings shot out once again, as well as sher arms. She could have posed for the Angel of Death, hovering above the world, if a photographer appeared. Core had moved far enough to the side to let herself free fall back down to earth. Her wings tucked back behind her again and she let her figure go limp. She had peered at the others, Mark, Keith, and Charlin. Luckily, she was far enough away, that dunes covered her from their view. Her wings flared out quickly, yards from the ground, fluttering gracefully. Now she knew where to go. ((i have a bunch of spelling errors and etc. I had to write that in a rush. Parents ))

Rajik watched her fly away. Such beautiful wings. He could have followed her. He could have turned into a raven and followed her. Into the sky. Above the Earth. The feel of the wind in his feathers. These however were not the things he thought about. I suppose she didn't want a meeting... yet. She would, oh yes, she would. Soon enough, she would. And he disappeared again in a puff of black smoke...
Mark stood attentively at the beast. He was not attacking it, but his bow was not yet gone. He was ready for what might happen next... |

Cyon nuzzled his nose within the sand playfully as his new master spoke with Keith. All of the violence from earlier washed away with the bellowing of the sand swirling in the wind. He was docile now, his eyes twinkling with a shade of innocence. Glancing over at Cyon out of the corner of her eye, Charlin knew that what had set him into a dangerous flight was the fear of being killed. Every now and then, his eyes would flash to the weapon at Keith's side, flinching whenever his fingers tapped its surface. Who wouldn't quiver at the amount of blood lust deep within Keith's and Mark's hearts? If Keith frightened Cyon by simply touching his sword, Charlin knew that one look at Mark could spark another dash about the desert.
"Yes, Cyon is friendly. Please don't kill him." "How much longer can I stay around people like--" As if to refute the unease within Charlin, Keith displayed a series of startling emotions. Blush transformed into a furious red hue at Charlin's words. She had merely questioned his loyalty, and a glorious side of Keith was revealed to her. He may not show his trust of creatures and beast, but he obviously cared about his fellow companions. In the end, it became her fault for him separating from everyone and causing them to feel the lonliness she did earlier. How could she sound so heartless? Keith had went through all the trouble of searching the vast desert for her, and she had belittled him. "I'm...sorry. You're right. I'm sure you didn't abandon them, and they will definately find us soon." Brushing some of her crimson locks away from her hesitant eyes, Charlin scanned the horizons. The scenery had changed in ways that only someone who had traveled upon the flurry of sand for a long time could notice. Each of the grains of sand glowed a creamy texture, building hills and huge dents upon the landscape. Occasionally, the bones of some large bird or deceased, four-legged creature would peak out of the wavering blanket, but nothing much could be seen. Only the ripples and changing levels of sand added a subtle pattern in the dunes... "The dunes?" Spinning on her heels, Charlin grabbed Keith's shoulders with an eager grin on her face. They had made it to their destination without paying much mind to their success! "We're here, right? The dunes! Aren't we suppose to find something here? Like, a rare treasure or a hidden paradise or a uncharted oasis or a hidden civilization or -- well, whatever we are here for, shouldn't we start looking for it?" ((OOC: Gotta stay on track. xD I'm trying really hard to not take over the RP, but we might not get anywhere at this rate. )) |

((It's alright, and I'll probably be on less so you can have sub-command of this RP
))As Charlin grabbed Keith's shoulders he finally took a look, an actual observation, of the landscape. It was the dunes. "Why yes, why yes it is the Dunes!" Keith said excitadly. That little episode with the worm brought them to their destination far quicker than they normally would have made it. Then Charlin spoke again, about what they were looking for, "or a hidden paradise", did she know? Keith got defensive, the mission was confidential. "Yeah, you could call it a treasure." Keith replied to her flurry of observations. "Mark, Charlin, should we wait for Cetiri and Corelett, or let them catch up to us?" Keith took a final look back and saw nothing, on impulse he looked up as well, but shifting sands kept him from seeing anything. |
