Setting: The Wastes, Kinterland province. After Kinterland disaster.
Story: Kinterland has been burned to the ground. Any and all survivors are in a small underground bunker with limited food and water. A small group of survivors has been sent out to find the fabled ‘paradise of the wastes’ so everyone can start over and rebuild. Creatures have started popping up, shadowy things that feed on flesh, they have been aptly named creatures of The Dread.
Background history: Kinterland was one of seven blade lands, countries that specialized in mercenaries. Kinterland was attacked and most of the country was set on fire, destroying just about everything and everyone.

Bio:
(The Dread can only have powers that use shadows. They can’t throw fireballs. They can be telekinetic and speak using telepathy, so please use italics when speaking as a Dread.)

Races: Human- I’m sure we all know what a human is… Only difference being that in Kinterland the humans can be faster or stronger than here.
Blazen- A humanoid race that can generate fire. A Blazen can use the fire to attack, keep warm, or make light. Blazen’s are generally hotheaded and can’t be a destroyer sub-class.
Dread- The Dread are a race of demons made from shadows. Their appearance can range from large and monstrous to small and cute. Humanoid Dread are generally more intelligent than the non-humanoid ones but there are always exceptions. The Dread are telepathic and communicate that way, they are sensitive to thought and can here your thoughts if you're not careful. Strong Dread have powers which use shadows that they generate or are around them. The Dread can also be telekinetic and very strong ones can make something out of nothing using their mind. Their history is unknown and they have just started pouring out of the Forbidden Country.

Classes:
Mercenary- Mercenaries are trained in any melee weapon type and are very proficient with them. They know how to survive in the wastes.
Flame-Sword- (Blazen Only) Flame-Swords fight with fire and a sword, they have most of the same sub-classes as Mercenaries, except for the Destroyer. They have a few specialized classes that rely a bit more heavily on fire.

Mercenary sub-classes:
Destroyer- Mercenaries that specialize in heavy weapons. They are strong, but usually slow.
Infiltrator- Mercenaries that specialize in assassinations. They use small, usually poisoned weapons and are very fast.
Marksman- Mercenaries that specialize in long-range weapons. Average strength and speed.
Solder- Mercenaries that don’t specialize in anything, they can use any weapon but heavy or poisoned weapons. Their strength and speed are average.
Fighter- Mercenaries that use hand-to-hand combat instead of an actual weapon. They are both strong and fast.

Flame-Sword sub-classes:
Fire-starter- They fight more with fire than anything else, they don’t have to carry a weapon. Fire-starters are faster and stronger than normal.
Creator- Creators make weapons out of fire, they have a weapon of choice that they have perfected.

Personality: Keith looks out for the people he loves. He doesn’t trust much but when he does he trusts you completely. Keith is companionable and well disciplined. He tends to get a little wild in a fight, destroying as much as he can.

History: Keith has been in a military academy his whole life. As soon as he was old enough he went to the Blade Lands to become a mercenary, He has been hired to fight several times and every battle he has been in he has won.

Personality: She can be distant from people due to her trust issues. She dosnt like people older than her because she has been lied to alot, and is basicly trained to not trust anybody. If she does trust someone its very rare.

History: she was sent to an assasins academy. she lived there most of her life untill she was fully trained to kill swiftly and eaisily. After she went ack to her parents she realized how untrustworthy they were. They would tell her lies and make her kill inoccent people, she caught on to their lies ad ended up killing them.

Personality: he is the true essence of a arm for hire. he has almost no personality for himself. he is completely obedient.

History: he was taught by a master who now hides himself away. this man taught him to fell nothing. he taught him to be stone cold and so he is.

Name: Rajik
Power: he can create weapons out of nothing he can also change and harden his structure creating things like giant claws and crushing hands if he so desires
Personality: he is very hateful, he tends to stalk his enemy before killing them
Appearance: he is like a dark black cloud shaped as a human. he has mouths filled with sharp jagged teeth all over his body. there are red flaming balls inside his head where his eyes would be
Bio: he kills people for fun. no real good reason. he wants humanity to live just so he can keep feeding off of it.

Keith looked around, it all looked the same, one big desert. He had no clue where to even start looking. Keith looked back to his small group, they were all putting their lives on the line for this mission. "I think we should start searching in the wastes, it's a trecherous place but it's as good a place as any to start, what do you think?" He asked to no one in particular.

"yes sir." he gathered up his pack. he continued to wear a completely indifferent expression. he was getting paid that was all he cared about. he wanted more then anything to make his master proud but he did not think as such. "i will follow you to the gates of hell if i must." he stood at attention without moving...

"Alright..." The Blazen freaked him out, how could anyone be so emotionless? Keith started to head in a northerly direction. He hoped that was the way... "On your guard, I hear something around here, and I don't think it's friendly."

((OOC: Well, since the main RP that I have been participating in has been on hold for quite some time, and all of the other RPs have started at a pace much too quick for my taste, I'll join this. Just a warning, if this goes too fast, I'll most likely quit. :o ))

Name: Charlin Graif
Age: 21
Race: Blazen
Class: Lance Dancer is a class that Charlin specifically invented that requires a strong heart and mind to manipulate flames with a lance. Unlike a Flame-Sword, the lance acts as a medium to controlling the fire in a way that makes the user look as if they are dancing. Since it forces the user to concentrate their mind, body, and heart to great extents, it does not have a sub-class to branch off from.
Personality: Charlin is very curious about everything around her, causing her to get in more trouble than she should. However, she is very intelligent and determined, partly because of the class she invented for herself. Her love of fire and pouring her heart into something makes her a valuable partner, but puts her life at risk.



Appearance: Her hair flutters in the wind like rose petals glowing a passionate, red hue. Burgundy gems soften by her lowered eyelids gaze out at everything as if it is a new wonder before Charlin. Hair ornaments decorate her long bang on her left side, which twists the remains of her previous hair into a beautiful chain. The rest of Charlin's shortened hair is tied clumsily to her right side, hanging loosely. Pale skin contrasts against her general features, and her short stature in comparision to others her age gives her a more innocent, angelic appeal.
Weapon’s Appearance: The weapon Charlin is holding is basically the same as it is in the picture, only the loop around the orb is made of a silver metal close to silver, only stronger and reflects light better. It is shaped like a diamond and twists around the pole. Although the pole is made of a substance similar to wood, it cannot be burned by flames. In fact, it seems to absorb fire.
History: Charlin grew up with a tribe of Blazen, living in harmony with fire as their energy source. It was quite ironic how fire was the thing that brought an end to the tribe, leaving Charlin all alone and barely surviving. She faintly remembers her parents gobbled up by...creatures, but the demise of her tribe is mostly a blure. She traveled with people of the same race as her, yet she couldn't ignore the fact that they weren't as connected to fire as she was. They relied on weapons more than anything, and their desire for revenge was much higher than hers. Eventually, Charlin heard rumors of "Paradise of the Waste" and went searching for it. Unfortunately, the creatures she saw in her past started multiplying, and she had to go into hiding.
