When you mean lag are you saying that it makes your computer run slow?

I use an 8800gt and at first the game was running slow but after I turned down the AA and AF to 8x it ran smoothly.

Usually if it was a temp problem you would get artifacts on screen.
Not sure what motherboard you have but most of the newer ones and even some older ones have a cpu temp limit so if you CPU gets too hot it will beep and then shut off your computer.

How old is your computer?
And have you tried cleaning it out recently?

Temp is quite hot, but not fatal. Use rivatuner to increase fan speed.

As for the lag, it's most likely your graphics card that's causing the problems. If you have access to a better card, try it out.

Something is a bit iffy about the temp read outs.

I have CPU temps that read 69 C at the highest max load but I get no warning beep which I assigned in my bios to go off after 60 C

I also told my PC to shut down at 70C.

I guess I could try reapplying some thermal compound but I made sure last time that I added the correct amount and spread it out evenly and thin.

So far no game has given me problems.

and it shows the cpu temp at idle around 59-60C which is around the idle for my GPU....

In my bios menu it shows the temps at around 33 C so something tells me the temp reading on that speccy program is wrong.

I concur.

Yah I just tested the bios again and the temp read out on my bios is 39C and when I quickly loaded up speccy it showed 65C so I know it is a faulty censor.

Don't get me wrong though, speccy could have correct read outs for some but it's hard to tell.

You should use your bios readouts first since they are the most accurate.

BIOS temps (meaning when you're looking at it in the BIOS) are not to be used in comparison while being in windows itself as your system isn't loaded with information.

Correct temps readouts for me. CPU temp is the average of the cores.
(RAM speed readouts are correct too, it's because I mixed it I guess/)

Well the cpu temp reading is definitely wrong for me as I get no warning beeps for cpu temps and the speccy read out is above 60C.

I don't think the temps could drop almost 30 C in about 4 seconds. Which is how long it takes for me to get to my Bios.

Yours may be right but mine are not.

Edit: I even did a prime95 test to max my cpu out and the readings said 75 C then I quickly reset my computer and went to bios and it read out 44 C.

I doubt it would drop 30 C in a few seconds.

Seems to me that the CPU temp sensor is out of wack for me and is around 30 C higher than it should.
