You have to ask yourself, why smoke at all if it doesn't help you in any way shape or form?
It doesn't offer any recreational value, it doesn't benefit your health, it smells like shit, it costs a ton of money, it stains your teeth. Really, the negatives outweigh the benefits...benefits being...umm...can't think of any. Maybe it can be used as a social tool...but ffs, thats a lame reason. Anything that is smoked isn't good for your lungs...some things are just more worth it than others, if ya know what I mean. |

and yeah its pretty harmfull but differs for each person. theres plenty of people who died from it but theres also plenty of people who dont get cancer at all. it screws up your condition/taste over time though.

When using an ice cooled, percolated, water pipe the smoke is a lot less harsh, and actually HAS been shown to help people having asthma attacks. That, and I'm sure a vaporizer is even better for you. My cousin uses it sometimes to help him with his asthma. He said it works like 10x faster than an inhaler, and thats important when you're having trouble breathing, ya know? He also says when hes panicing from a lack of breathing, he often over-does it with his inhaler because he is scared. That ends up giving him a headache, nausea, etc. Taking one too many inhales of some THC won't do any of that. |

All drugs are bad, especially weed, it's up there with the bad guys. Prescription drugs, coffee, alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, pain meds, even sugar screws with your brain chemistry.
Alcohol contains a substance that mimics estrogen, estrogen leads to weight gain and in men it puts the weight right on the belly, hence beer bellies. The even more sinister thing about alcohol is that it's not a lipid, a protein or a carbohydrate, the body cannot digest it so it transforms it - and everything eaten with it - into fat. Not only addicts you - makes you fat too. Prescription drugs have just as more, if not worse, side effects than the symptoms they are supposed to treat. They could create real cures if they wanted, but that's not profitable, they instead make people addicted and even more sick with pills so that the "patients" must buy even more. I can assure you you can get up in the morning without coffee. Not as bad as the other addictions but the most widespread. It's the most ridiculous too, seeing as it can be easily replaced by tea or herbal tea, both of which have slow-releasing caffeine that's not harmful. Not to mention it gives you bad breath, really disgusting. Sugar is the stripped crystals from the cane plant. It's a 100% chemical and man-made substance, which is why it's harmful. It's sad that everyone thinks that what tastes sugary is automatically bad. Natural sugars like honey, maple syrup, stevia and countless others taste sugary and are good for you - no reason to ever eat sugar when alternatives are so easy to find. As you can see, stuff that addicts people = profitable to companies + harmful to users. The only reason weed isn't legal is because it can't be sold profitably - seeing as you can just grow it easily - the companies would never be able to sell it for much. I smoked for about 4 years...not heavily though, at most like 4-5 cigs a day? I've quit for about 4 months now. I don't think I was addicted? Only the first week was difficult and after that I didn't really feel the urge to smoke much.
There's really no point to smoking...it smells bad, it costs money, a lot of women hate smokers, it stinks up your house and clothes. The only upside is it feels good to have a cig when you're stressed or after a meal. But in the long run just don't bother. Its not a good habit. |
