(I actually just been very lazy:P.)
Casting glances to left and right there seemed that everyone was here ready to fight. Though he wondered if it was enough, the group of creatures infront of them were still there, and the leader didn’t look as easy as the previous ones. Suddenly the white haired man who had greeted him before walking away earlier suddenly leashed out his staff sending an explosion of light which he quickly formed as a barrier around Thea and Elvira, Elvira looking unconscious. With the yell of him not being able to hold up the barrier for very long Ikale felt a sting of fear. Ok forget them seven being able to fight, their force had been reduced to four in less than a minute. Though he thought, when he first now noticed the force emitting from Icarus that might be enough, first light and now electricity? He hoped it would be enough as he took a sturdier grip on his weapons, he wondered who strike the first blow. As of yet the enemies leader had done nothing but gloat and stand there. Did it mean he was stupid enough to let whatever Icarus was doing getting completed or was he just so sure about himself he thought it couldn’t possibly be hurt? Suddenly Sere began shouting some kind of prayer to the maker, well each one to his own he guessed, though as usual a desperate prayer would not do anything. Or that was at least what he thought before the glow on his staff lightened up with a light so pure and bright that Ikale had to shield his eyes until it was channeled out of its orb like state and formed another barrier, not just around Thea and Elvira but the entire group. Efficently buying enough time for Icarus to charge up. Time well spent it showed when Icarus unleashed the lightning which with no resistance passed through the barrier of light, instantly frying every creature who were too close by and then charged ahead towards the leader who only seemed to have been shocked by the current, not fried. Wasting no time he immediately jumped out towards the leader, only to be shortly joined by the other red haired man who jumped into the fight with another of the creatures. Seamlessly passing the barrier as well. Making an unsure attempt to join them, this barrier reminded him very much of the sun, he reached out to the barrier with his hand only to instantly draw it back when he felt the resistance and a small sting of pain which promised more if he tried to force himself out like that. Well wasn’t this perfect, he couldn’t get out. Or rather he thought after casting a glance of the builder of this barriers strained expression, he could get out but not without destroying the barrier. “Guess I just stay here” Ikale thought to himself. It wasn’t like he wanted to fight really anyway. Though, there were a bit too many of them out there for the two of them to take care of, and just as soon as he finished that train of thought Icarus sent the finishing blow to the leader, making the head take its first flying lesson in the process. And making all other of the creatures start screaming in pain and being engulfed in flames, and then exploding. Leaving no trace except their ashes and the destruction of the village being the proof they had ever been there. Hearing footsteps behind him he swung around, ready to defend himself from any stragglers, but it was only Elvira who had woken up again and was walking towards Icarus. He hadn’t noticed before but her clothes were all soaked like she had decided to take a swim in the ocean. Odd, but he decided to leave it at that. First of all I would like to get out of this barrier he thought, it sure was annoying everyone else but him seemed to be able to go through without any problems. Nothing to do about it still, placing back his daggers he walked to the one who held it all up and knocked him lightly on the shoulder. "Mind taking your barrier down now? Seems like we're all done after all". |

It was not a victory just yet, the silence of the bloody battle revealed yet another hair-raising sound. Screams could be heard from within the village hall. Icarus quickly left the battle scene whilst rinsing the black blood off his blade. “Guys...you can come if you want but I don't blame you if you just want to pick up your things and leave!”. Hoping that some would join him Icarus quickly fled the scene and made his way to the location of the screams.
On the way Icarus could smell the distinct poignant smell that belonged to burning flesh. He could recognise none of the villagers faces, hopefully by saving at least the person who's screams it belonged to would be enough to ensure the survival of the village of cocoon. The fires were still crackling around him, burned houses which left a smoky trail which rose up still into the grim red sky. The rain was still falling harder than ever and the ground beneath Icarus' feet became slippery and semi-solid like paste. Icarus finally made his way to the village hall and instantly could place the person to who's voice it belonged. “Kane!” Icarus called hoping for a reply. “O-Over here” Icarus heard the muffled voice coming from within a pile of rubble which looked too heavy for him to move on his own. He would need somebody strong to be able to lift it. Icarus dug his hands through whatever stones and gravel he could move in a desperate hope to create breathing space for the village mayor. “Help!” Icarus cried hoping for the rest of the group to come to his aid. Kane, the village mayor poke his face through the space Icarus created and spluttered for air. “Don't worry Kane, I've got you! Don't speak, save your breath, wait until I get you out of here first!” Kane nodded as Icarus continued to move whatever rubble he could move with his hands. “Somebody help!” Icarus screamed again hoping that the travellers would catch the trail of his voice. “I-Icarus..” Kane gasped. “You must tell the Pulsi Council what has happened here...they must be prepared for what is to come...unless they have already been attacked” he coughed once again. “You are this villages hope now Icarus...you need to save this world from The Destroyers servants”. Monotone Clichés riddled through Icarus' skull, it was like the adventure books he would read as a child, where the unlikely hero somehow became strong upon receiving this burden, but this was the real world, Icarus might not even make it through the night alone if he travels to Gran Pulsi by himself. “You'll be all right Kane, just breathe, let me do all the thinking right now...I will do as you ask, for the sake of our people...” Icarus sighed, he had no confidence in himself to become strong and independent like the heroes from his bedtime adventure books. ((Hope this is enough to get you guys started again...I promise I won't leave the Rps again like I did this weekend...sorry for holding you all back V.V)). |

An awkward silence told Elvira that the situation was far too tense for petty matters such as learning the names of those around you. Even if they did become true allies, Elvira knew she had to wait for another chance to exchange her name for the name of the young man with red and black hair. On the other hand, Elivira was feeling a lot better since she had awaken from her little nap. The water that had soaked into her clothes had surprisingly absorbed the aches and wounds on her body and had vanished with them. It was as if the water had evaporated after performing some kind of healing exorcism of any damage dealt to her. Was this the power Val spoke of? Elvira wished to understand her..."gift" a little more, but her thoughts were interrupted by a blood-curdling scream erupting from one of the few villages that held some of their distinguishable features. Her timing of locking on the exact place the desperate cry came from was slow, but it seemed that Icarus had noted the location right away.
"That...man must be in a lot of pain. If I could somehow heal myself..." Without wasting another second, Elvira sprinted towards the ocean and started arching her arms in a swift motion so that her legs could provide the real work when she got far enough. While she dove under the raging sea just before she could be slapped in the face with a strong tide, Elvira glipsed what appeared to be blue bottle. The top was cracked and no lid was present, making it unfit to attach to her many chains. However, the bottom was fine, allowing Elvira to carry more water than her clothes would provide. Thankful for the find, Elvira propelled herself back with her legs and sprinted hastily after Icarus. It was a wonder how the water managed to last in the bottle during the mad dash, but nothing leaked out by the time she reached what appeared to be the village hall. Not able to even imagine how it looked in its proper condition, Elvira arrived just in time to see Icarus digging for his life to free the man beneath a ton of rubble. "How heroic. He seems a lot more caring than he let on last night. As for his...friend...he seems to have a lot of faith in Icarus. How nice." Physical excercise that involved vigorous training on the muscles in her arms was something Elvira had always avoided and it wasn't until now that she regretted it. Icarus kept begging for help, as if everyone would be teleported to his side the moment he called for them. Most of the small pieces had been tossed aside, leaving the larger chunks that required teamwork to remove behind. Sighing at the thought of her struggling in a feutile effort at removing them, Elvira decided to carry on with her original plan before all the water on her dripped away. Aiming her left hand towards the hidden man, Elvira concentrated and imagined the water upon her washing away the pressure of the rubble upon him. The moment she did, Elvira felt as if she was separating the rubble from the man and taking his place. The weight caused her to support herself with one knee and her unused right hand, her skin feeling dry and itchy. "Wh-what is this? Is it...because...I...c-can't h-he-al...him...d-dire-ctly?" ((OOC: Short post as well. ~ Short for me. ))
