Journal Entry:

It has been 3 years since I had last seen my family, but their faces still haunt my every dream.
The reason why I am writing to you is to keep my mind occupied, this place is destroying me subtly but effectively. I am losing my mind. There are others here too, the ones who have helped me on my journey since the start. I am nearing the end now, the final climax as they say in adventues.

My name is Icarus....Icarus....I can no longer remember my family name, this place is truly beginning to consume my mind, it won't be much longer now until it all stops. Either I will die here in my sleep while this place consumes my soul, or I will push further into the depths of the unknown to finally conquer that what has been the very definition of evil since Aeia's first cycle.
If you are reading this then I must regretfully inform you that I have died. Both me and my companions now reside as one of It's monstrosities, a creation from the depths of Zantun, the place where it was born. Everything has a beginning and an end, but sadly this is my end.

Do not give up hope, just because I have failed before you, does not mean that you will fail, you will exceed in where I have failed. Like I said, everything has a beginning and an end, and this demon of legend will have it's end, if not by my blade, then perhaps by yours.


Journal Entry:

This will be the last time I record within my journal, I am nearing the demons lair. I am cold and trapped. At this moment I am scribbling my final words as I silently approach the demons lair. With each step I take it gets colder and colder, I can hear it breathing... I have come too far to lose it all now, me and my friends will stop this beast, it will not destroy Aeia, I will not allow for it.

Forgive me but I must cut this short. Within a few moments the fate of Aeia will be sealed. If I do not stop it then all is lost... or perhaps not if you have found this journal. I miss my family. I want it to be over. I am only 17 years old, I am against impossible odds, the very definition of evil is beyond this cave. The demon of legend. It has been written in legend that a hero and his companions would overcome dangerous obstacles and surface a champion among his people. I always thought it was complete rubbish until now, I even denied the existence of such an evil which I am about to face. How foolish was I?...I'm scared. This is it, I must sum up all my courage and face this demon with all I got.

I must go, the fate of Aeia awaits..I bid you farewell...and good luck.

As you may have already gathered, this particular Rp takes place within the beautiful land of Aeia. We will be following Icarus and his companions to discover the fate which had been brought upon them.

The land of Aeia is nothing like you have ever seen before, it is a world trapped within the fears of legend and folklore. This is an Rp which is rich in both culture, religion, folklore, legend and other things. I have had this idea for a long time now and I thought it was about time to put pen to paper and make my idea a reality. I want to create an immerse experience for the more experienced Rp'ers to take part in (so please it is a requirement to post long posts).

What is unique about this Rp is not just the lore, but also that it actually has an ending aswell (don't worry the Rp is going to be pretty long but I will move things along if things start to drag).

Please read the following which I have written, it is important back story and lore (you do not have to memorise it, it is only to help you to gain a better understanding about the world of Aeia). Take your time reading though so you can absorb the information easier. Do not be alarmed with the amount of information below, it is not a lot which will overwhelm you at once, I have tried to make it as simple as possible. Thank you.

Legend

It has been said that one day a fellowship of heroes will rise to the challenge of protecting Aeia from its inevitable doom. These brave heroes will posses the strength and courage to banish evil from the land of Aeia once and for all, so that finally, Paradise can be restored.


It has been written long ago that 7 powerful elementals created a single source of power which imprisoned all that was evil, this included vicious creatures, animals, human feelings of hatred and anything that corrupted the land. They created a unification that would imprison them for an eternity so that the world of Aeia can live, tranquil and in serenity.
Although this is legend, it can be adapted in today's life, not a single devastating event has ever occurred since the “forming of the light”, but a darkness hungers for blood, the magi were not aware that in the creation of this unification they created the most terrifying thing imaginable. All the evil that was cast within this spell combined into a more greater and more powerful force hungry for blood and awaiting the day it will be finally released to seek it's revenge.

It has been long whispered that a winged demon will exact it's revenge on the people who had imprisoned it within it's prison. Nobody has ever seen or heard this demon, so most people do not take any heed in the whispered warnings, the people of Aeia began to grow ignorant and without even so much as realising, they are fuelling the strength of the demon. The demon feeds on human emotion, and over the 1000's of years the demon is nearing its final stage of transformation, so it can be finally unleashed upon the world.


Formation of Aeia

The formation of Aeia is anything but normal, there are three layers to this planet, like the layers of an onion. The first layer starting from the top is called Shoganka, this is where the deserts of Aeia lie, as over time the planets sun has heated up the surface and dried up the water sources leaving it in one massive continuous blanket of desert land. This land plays host to some of the worlds most dangerous people, and some of the most greedy and filthy raiders ever imagined.

The second layer, known as Pulsi is the layer in which we are born, perfect sunlight and rain is kept perfect to sustain life. This helps this part of the world be more sustainable, with tropical beaches, forests and wilderness, it is the most beautiful layer in Aeia.

The third layer is known as Zantun, legend has it this is where The Destroyer was banished when The Maker, his brother disapproved of his taste of violence among his new creation, man. The Destroyer existed so that balance may be kept, but when The Maker found out that he was using drastic measures to ensure the discomfort of the human race, The Maker destroyed him, neatly breaking off parts of his body and sending them out far and wide into the depths of Zantun. As you have guessed, Zantun is a place of great evil, it has been told that all who have entered have never returned alive.

Religion

In the world of Aeia, the inhabitants follow a religion with multiple deities, The Maker, and The Destroyer. These two gods help keep balance within the world of Aeia, they manipulate it like as if it is their own play box, The Maker created the lungs of the planet and everything which exists, he also created Man. The Destroyer created evil, to maintain balance and natural order. It has been said though, on the night of the red moon, that The Destroyer planned his first assault against the human race. His brother, The Maker soon found out about this and banished him to Zantun never to be heard from again.

Elementals

It has been rumored that the first elementals to ever walk the planet was the 5 same elementals that banished evil from this planet. Nobody else in recorded history have been known to posses these powers of wonder. Elementals each posses a unique element which they can manipulate to their advantage to help protect and restore order to the people of Aeia. It is said that they are the instruments of The Maker, his chosen warriors who will help restore balance to the world.


Almost finished now, before I introduce you with your character sheets I would like to inform you with some brief information and an overview to better understand this particular Rp.

-This RP will have an ending.
-NO MORE CHARACTER SPACES LEFT, SORRY.
-We all each play as an Elemental
-The RP isn't all dark and gloomy don't worry!
-You can only control your element. for example, you can't do healing if you're fire and you can't fly if you're water. (surf maybe, but not fly)
-Remember to post detailed posts when Rping in this particular role play.
-Most of all...have fun, no flaming or any other thing which can be found on the Onrpg rules.

Name: Icarus Septun

Age: 17

Personality: Icarus is an energetic and charismatic boy. He is a natural born leader, and has a natural flair for inspiring others to fight by his side. He is an optimist and always looks onto the bright side of things...until the accident with his families deaths. This left him emotionless to other people, unable to speak and cope with the real world. He lives shrouded in mystery, people do not approach Icarus in case they upset him, either that or they have forgotten him. Icarus can be cold and calculating, he has learned that through the deaths of his family, good people will die in the effort so that evil can be stopped. Icarus can be cold, and he shuts people out from his feelings and doesn't let people approach him. He usually avoids people unless its absolutely necessary he needs to get involved. He sometimes disappears without anybody noticing, not like they care anyway, and strolls along the beach of his home village.

Element: Lightning.

Appearance:

Additional info: Icarus has a small pendant which reveals a picture of his family inside, it is in the shape of the sun.



Weaknesses: Earth.

Weapon: Icarus wields a sharp blade which he uses to slice and through his enemies. It is elegant in design and gets sharper and thinner towards the top of the blade. It has an irregular blade shape and has a design of Icarus' family pendant on the base of the blade. There is also a chain at the bottom of the blade which falls loosely just for a more elegant design. Later Icarus would attach his pendant to the chain on the blade.

History: Growing up Icarus had all he wanted in life, Great parents, a great sister and even a better school. The small village he grew up on was both small and peaceful where everybody knows each other, he still lives there now.

Icarus was 14 years old when his family was taken away from him. No bodies, no explanation and no evidence to know who had taken them away from him. Icarus' life began to fall apart when he had no family to look after him. Icarus relied on his family and they relied on him, and without them he was empty.

Icarus chose to take the self-destructive route and blame everything on himself, not being there for them when they needed him most, he was useless and he could not protect them. Soon Icarus cut his ties with everybody in the village, any one of them could have taken his family, or perhaps it was someone else. Either way Icarus hated everybody that wasn't him and soon after he began to avoid the fellow villagers, the sooner they forgot about him. This hurt Icarus more because now not even anybody would look at him, they would get on with their lives happily while his family still remained taken from him.

Since has family have been missing Icarus had changed. A completely different person. No longer the happy and strong person he once was, he fell into a slump of self-pity and destruction which nobody would even notice. Icarus would usually each night take strolls along the beautiful beach that runs along the village. The beach would stretch on for miles on end, usually separated by
man-made levees which protect the village from floods.

Icarus was a ghost to the people that knew him, not that he was actually invisible, they just chose not to get involved with him. To this day Icarus still remains in his emotional stump still blaming himself for the loss of his family.

Additional Info: Icarus found out about his elemental powers shortly after his families dissapearance, he kept them to himself thinking he was a freak of nature, this is more a reason to be angry of himself, he is not only alone, but he thinks he is also a demon that should have been banished to Zantun long ago.

(this took a while to read lol, but it sounds pretty good. i have to say, i didnt see the gun coming, you know, considering the begining part)

Name: Keb Solange

Age: 18

Personality: Usually hard on himself and others, beleiving that no one is at their best, no matter what their age. he has his moments where he can be sensitive and caring. He has an iron will and is very headstrong and stubborn.

Element: Earth

Appearance:

Head: Keb has flame red hair, it is somewhat long and in lazy spikes, most of it is out of his face, occationally one or two locks will fall into his face. Keb has a strange shade of green eyes and a choker style necklace with sign of the maker.

Torso & Arms: Keb's body is quite muscular, he beleives he shouldnt be able to control them magicly if he cant control the element physicly. Keb usually wears a black undershirt, mostly to show off his muscles, he has a tattoo on the inside of his left forearm, of a yinyang and a dragon.

Legs: Keb wears either black or blue jeans, usually quite baggy, with a black belt. the belts buckle is usually a yinyang or his family crest. Keb's shoes are nothing special, just black shoes with thick soles.

Weaknesses: Water (is that right? the opposite would logicly be air but i dont really see how air could be stronger against earth)

Weapon: Kebs weapons are a pair of hammers, he named them yin and yang, for his obsesion with yingyangs. one is mostly made of metalic metal, with a white light in the side. the other is made of a black metal with a red light in the side (im going to provide a picture link, to make my horrid discription seem better: Here)

History: Keb didnt grow up with a hard life exactly but his parents were almost never around, which didnt help his social skills, he mostly just stayed in his house, working out or goofing off with his best friend

when he was 15 he experienced his first loss, his best friend and his family was killed by some theives. After that day he stayed inside, taking his best friends death hard, he eventually decided to overcome his post pardom depression and go back to training and learning.

the day came when he turned eighteen and he decided to leave home and explore the world, he didnt have his best friend to travel with him so he went off alone, exploring the world, leaving his family and old life behind him.

i know i kept it vague so you can choose which ever element you want to use. There are basic elements such as: Earth (taken) Water, Fire etc. and then you have other elements such as Light, Darkness etc you get the idea.

Yes it is :P yes I can reserve fire for you -- but if somebody posts their character sheet before you come back I'm sorry but you won't be able to Rp. (if the last space is taken)

Remember everybody lengthy detailed posts are a necesary, there are times where yes, you can write one or two paragraphs because your at a writers block, sorry I have to reinforce this time and time again lol.
