Now I believe, always have always will, that the majority of people who use firefox only use it cause someone else told them how better, safer, and faster it was without any solid evidence behind it and they did the same to another friend, and so on.

Windows Vista was the same way. People *****ed and moaned over all the security flaws and bugs cause they heard someone else talking about it. When in reality unless you were skilled in computers you would most likely never truly encounter a fatel problem. Due to nerdrage windows reskined it, called it windows 7, said it was fixed and no one could tell the difference.

So back to firefox, I've used the majority of all browsers and nothing special seems to jump out at me. I've done everything with it I've done with IE8 IE7 IE6 and nothing destroyed my PC, slowed it down, and infested it with viruses and loopholes.

So someone please explain to my why firefox is so much better, hell i'd say chrome is faster and better

And call me a tard but I say if we didn't have a browser preinstalled on a computer they'd make us buy one then buy the internet.




This is also me nerd rageing cause to much shit is becoming firefoxonly compatible again like 3-4 years ago.

I only use Firefox cuz Chrome doesn't work with Quake Live.

I used firefox for a long time since people said it was better, but hell it's only 'good' for the addons, IE is slow, really.

I personally also use google chrome, it's just much better.

IE6 was good with me, but after that, IE7 and 8 were too sluggish for no reason and I had to end task alot. Firefox on the otherhand was faster for me.

It's just preference dude.

I mean if your preference its all good, but im mainly aiming towards the people who hold it on to high of a pedestal.(pretty sure i spelled that wrong).

Like i've had people look at IE8 or chrome and be like

Them " ah dude why are you using that firefox is so much better!"

Me:"...How?"

Them: " It just is its faster and safer!"

I don't think Firefox is so great, but I do agree that the majority do use Firefox, because it was released during the beginning of IE's downfall. Thus it made Firefox more noticeable.

I only use it because I like the GUI, if I can customize the way it looks in Chrome, I'll use Chrome instead.

Chrome at the moment has a problem, various sites and features don't currently support it and when people can't use said feature or look at a site, they venture off to another browser. I personally find Firefox to trump them all due to the vast range of addons and of course it's constant reliability. Opera is a close second in my books but, meh just couldn't get into using it over my beloved firefox.

Lmao@ noob OP.

Chrome sends any string in the url/search bar to google. This is all the pages you visit you didn't google as well as pages you didn't even visit.
IE does not suport any scripting standards properly, so does Opera (which is imo pathetic, unstable and worst UI by far).
Safari is a security nightmare that never gets patched and doesn't have any features.

Firefox:
Addons
Regular patches
good appliance to standards
best native UI
stable

Also if IE, or whatever other of the fascist browser crowd wasn't free, that wouldn't matter.

I've used Firefox since back when it used to be the fastest and most secure.
I'd use Chrome but I don't like the look of it, and I like having my bookmarks toolbars (Which I couldn't find in Chrome) on screen at all times.

It's just what I'm used to, and I don't like change; whether other browsers are faster/more secure or not.
