Default [Help] Sharp Chest Pain when Breathing in.

Hey guys, I've been looking around Google and WebMD to try and find answers, but I can't find any.

There are these random moments (it could be once a month, twice a month, once a week, etc..) where I would get super sharp unbearable pain in my chest everytime I try to breath in. I don't have a hard time breathing or anything but if I try to breath in the slightest bit I start to feel the pain and the pain exponentially increases as I try to keep breathing in. The pain is in the right side of my lungs. It used to be something that didn't last so long. It went from lasting a few seconds to where I can't breath in, to about 5+ minutes now. Does anyone have the slightest idea whats going on? Its been like this for years now. When I looked it up the first time, I was convinced it was normal to have and that people get it regularly, but now its just getting too hard to bear.

I will see a doctor soon, but I wanted to see if anyone here has any idea.
PS. If you don't have any idea, or won't be contributing, please save your post. This is serious to me.

EDIT: http://www.buzzle.com/articles/chest...breathing.html
Looking in that list above, about none of them match what symptoms I have. The closest one, however, is this one:
Quote:
Pulmonary Embolism: This is a condition where one or more arteries that supply blood to the lungs get clogged. This happens due to the presence of a blood clot in the artery. The symptoms of this condition include sudden chest pain when breathing in, shortness of breath, coughing up blood, skin turning blue, sweating, etc. Pulmonary embolism can be life-threatening if not treated promptly with anti-coagulants
I don't cough blood though, nor does my skin turn blue. I sweat at random times. There is no shortness or breath either. Its just that when I breath in I feel the sudden sharp pain. I prefer to take a lot of little breaths so the pain can stay to it's minimum until the whole pain just goes away. (And again, that takes about 5 minutes of suffering.)

Wow, thanks a bunch! Although I only get the pain when breathing in, not out.

So I'm getting this because my butt is in a computer chair all day and I'm being inactive?

Go to your Doctor. Don't sit here on OnRPG and ask us for help.

It's highly possible you have a spontaneous pneumothorax, and if you do, you run the risk of lung failure by not getting an x-ray.

I am pretty sure it's precordial catch syndrome but go to your doctor for advise because I can't examine you and I have no PhD, yet.

Yeah, go see a doctor. We aren't really qualified for these kinds of things here. Best to go see a doc, to check you out, just to be safe.

Cool, I realise that's what I had in the past.

Precordial Catch Syndrome.

Haven't experienced it in a long time, which is good.

I agree with this, everytime I see something posted about health on a forum, they always ask the members for help instead of doing the logical thing and going to see a doctor!
