I don't agree with this. Everyone should be able to see this horrible mistake. |

So what...
Those people are idiots, trying to build a multi-front argument. This means that they don't have a problem to report. What is it; Is it a safety measure or not? How many reporters have been arrested? The guy contradicted himself several times within the broadcast, there is really nothing to it. ~+~ The only reason why this is not reported properly, is because it will not make their pockets any fuller; In the opposite, they will have to take steps to dissociate themselves from the problem and stop playing the blame game, to cover that there really isn't any alternative solution that they can offer, no further scandal to gloat in and that the truth is ugly. People will call in and complain in the ten thousands why they even showed them pictures and how disturbed they now are. That's fallout they aren't willing to take, so they cut the news about the problem to a 5 second clip and talk about Obama for 10 minutes. Last edited by Ronin; 07-05-2010 at 01:09 PM. |

Ignorance is bliss.
What we don't know, won't hurt us. No, but seriously... it's bullshit. The entire thing is, that is. There is no rational excuse as to why this oil spill is taking so long to "fix". Not allowing photography or news broadcasts about the spill makes it a walking conspiracy theory, for those who wish to make it as such.
Maybe because the oil spill is 1 mile down under the ocean where no human could possibly survive. The only way to solve this problem is to use robots but even that is really hard considering that it's a mile down. Oil wells aren't like cups that you just stick a straw into and draw oil out of, they're like a water bottle being sat on by a 300 lb guy.
How long has this spill been going on now? 3 months? What is being done? Really... They put a cap on it. The cap can hold, oh, less than 1/4 of the oil that's in the rig. Peachy. Quite useless, really. False hope is ever-so-glorious. So... what to do about that now... Oh... Let's make it so the press can't report on it. Because that fixes everything. Yes, I understand the situation. No, I don't have a solution. I'm fairly sure BP hired quite a few people to do that find a solution job. After 3 months, you'd think they could come up with something a bit better than putting a dent in the disaster. ![]() |
